🌟 Our Journey to Hope: The Birth of Animal Kingdom Inc. 🌟 In 2021, amid the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, our family faced a crisis that tested our resilience. Homelessness forced us into an apartment that didn’t accept pets, and our beloved pitbull, unfairly labeled as aggressive due to her breed, had nowhere to go. The few extended boarding options available came with exorbitant costs of over $500, a sum we simply couldn’t afford given our circumstances. Heartbroken and out of options, we had to surrender her to an animal shelter. This painful experience ignited a mission in us: to create a sanctuary where families in crisis wouldn’t have to choose between their wellbeing and their beloved pets. Animal Kingdom was born from this vision. At Animal Kingdom Inc., we offer: 🏡 Free boarding for families facing temporary hardships, ensuring pets are cared for with love and dignity. 🐾 Acceptance of all domestic animals, from dogs and cats to birds and iguanas. 🤝 Commitment to keeping pets with their families for as long as needed, completely free of charge. 💖 Facilitation of adoptions to find loving, permanent homes when reunification isn’t possible. We wish Animal Kingdom had been there for us when we needed it most. Now, we are here for others, turning our difficult experience into a source of hope and support for families in crisis. Join us in our mission to keep families and their pets together. Follow our journey and support Animal Kingdom Inc. as we make a difference, one paw at a time. #AnimalKingdomInc #Nonprofit #PetSanctuary #FamilyFirst #CommunitySupport #AnimalWelfare #COVID19 #Homelessness #HopeAndSupport

Give the Gift of Love This Holiday Season! 🐾 As the holidays approach, shelters across the country are working hard to find loving homes for pets—and the data shows it's making a difference! According to #ShelterAnimalsCount data, over the past two years, dog adoption rates have peaked in Q4, with December standing out as a time when more pets find their new families. Why Q4 Matters ✔️ Intakes slow down, allowing shelters to focus on adoptions. ✔️ Holiday-themed events and reduced adoption fees help connect pets with families. ✔️ The joy of adopting adds lasting memories to the season. Whether you’re ready to #adopt, #volunteer, or donate, your support can help shelters ensure more pets find homes before the year ends. Learn more at the link below. 👇

the KILLING continues. I'm sorry, I normally post /comment/repost mainly work related issues. it's not very professional to let your emotions take over, but I'm so upset today with what goes on inside these "Shelters" What gives these "shelters" the right to kill (or as the prefer to say euthanize)? and really why are they really allowed to call themselves shelters? they kill just to make room to get another animal in, and then they will kill that one too Despicable p s.: if you have Californians in your network pls pls share

The Silent Struggles: Homeless Animals and Mental Health When we think about homeless animals, we often focus on their physical needs—food, shelter, and safety. But what about their mental health? 🐾💔 Homeless dogs and cats endure anxiety, depression, and stress from living in constant survival mode. These silent struggles impact their well-being just as much as physical challenges. At The Animal Alliance, we believe that healing goes beyond just providing food and shelter. While our focus is on spaying and neutering to prevent overpopulation, we understand that the emotional recovery of these animals is just as important. Every animal deserves a second chance at a healthy, happy life. How you can help: 1. Support spay and neuter programs to prevent the overpopulation of homeless pets and improve their overall well-being. 2. Donate to help fund the essential medical services and care needed for these animals. 3. Spread awareness about the importance of spay and neuter services to reduce the number of homeless animals. By joining us in our mission, you’re not just helping an animal survive—you’re giving them the opportunity to thrive, emotionally and physically. 🐶💙 👉 Learn more about how you can make a difference: https://lnkd.in/dNCnh8Yu #MentalHealthAwareness #HomelessAnimals #AnimalWelfare #RescueAndRecovery #SpayAndNeuter #AdoptDontShop #SupportRescue #AnimalAlliance #ChangeLives #MakeADifference

Sunday, May 19, 2024 Tomorrow May 20, 2024 is National Rescue Dog🐾🐾 Day! You can make a positive difference in the lives of rescue dogs🐾🐾 every day! Here are some great ideas of how you can celebrate National Rescue Dog🐾🐾 Day tomorrow; POST A PHOTO: Share a photo of your rescue dog🐾🐾 on social media by using #nationalrescuedogday Explain what makes your rescue dog🐾🐾 special to inspire others to adopt! GIVE LOVE: Shower your rescue dog🐾🐾 with love in the form of a leisurely walk, a delicious treat, a new toy, or just some extra cuddle time. ADOPT: Adopt a dog🐾🐾 from a local shelter or a pure breed rescue group to save a life. FOSTER: Provide a temporary home for a rescue dog🐾🐾. Many dogs🐾🐾 abandoned to shelters benefit from socialization, or would just thrive better away from the shelter environment. Others may need some medical care or rehabilitation in a home setting before an adoption can take place. This is also a great way to see if you’re ready to adopt and make the life-long commitment. HELP A SHELTER: Check your local shelter website to donate and to view their wish list of much needed items such as blankets, toys, treats, and leashes. You can also host a bake sale, car wash, or other event and donate the proceeds back to the shelter. VOLUNTEER: Help out at your local shelter. Taking dogs🐾🐾 for walks, grooming, and giving them plenty of affection improves their socialization. SPAY/NEUTER: Be responsible for your pets. Overpopulation is the number one reason shelters exist. EDUCATE: Teach young children the importance of kindness, unconditional love, and responsible care of all animals. Sincerely, Douglas Joyce C.E.O. Rescue Dogs Rock, D.C.🐾🐾🇺🇸 doug@rescuedogsrockdc.org Always adopt, don’t shop for a dog.🐾🐾 Rescue, Dogs, Rock!🐾🐾 In addition, please have your pets, spayed or neutered! #RescueDogsRock #FosterARescueDog #adoptdonotshopdog #Adoptdonotshopforadog #RescueDogsRockDC #SaveARescueDog #ILoveRescueDogs #NationalRescueDogDayIsTomorrow #WaysToCelebrateNationalRescueDogDay
