Statistics for the #IF23 net-zero technologies call are in! Via the #InnovationFund, 3️⃣3️⃣7️⃣ applications from 2️⃣7️⃣ countries are in the running to receive €4️⃣ billion to support their projects under these topics: 🔷 137 large-scale 🔷 56 cleantech manufacturing 🔷 51 medium-scale 🔷 51 Pilots 🔷 42 small-scale 🥇 Also for the first time, projects that are not awarded a grant despite meeting all evaluation criteria can be awarded a Seal of Sovereignty which will facilitate getting funding from other sources. Had the pleasure to host my Nordic colleagues in Stockholm yesterday, for a Nordic Roadmap Steering Group meeting – fab to see you all in the flesh Sofie Hvid Rasmussen, Eero Hokkanen, Ida Ringdal Lindtvedt and Sveinung Oftedal. We discussed the Nordic Fuel Transition Roadmap and we had projets leads Dorthe Alida Slotvik from DNV and Denis Cederholm-Larsen from MAN Energy Solutions present to discuss e.g. the Roadmap recommendations. The Roadmap was initiated by the The Nordic Council of Ministers and The Nordic Council in 2022 and is a response to e.g. the 2023 GHG Strategy och the International Maritime Organization and the ambition of the Roadmap is for the Nordics to become a global force for accelerating the green transition of the transport sector. It preliminary identifies three main barriers for the uptake of zero-emission fuels for Nordic shipping as follows: technology and safety; fuel availability; demand and costs. Maybe not surprising, but we got a clear message from industry on actions needed; all stakeholders must come together – industry, governments, academia, financial institutions.. See here for more information about the Roadmap: https://lnkd.in/d3Htmrx6 The handover to the Nordic Council Ministers is planned for December 2024 – stay tuned y’all! And.. of course we also enjoyed some Swedish fika! Last weeks attendance at the 1st Hy2Move IPCEI General Assembly in Berlin showed again that hydrogen is an upcoming future. The General Assembly, organized by the German Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport (#BMDV) with the support of NOW GmbH #NOW and Projektträger Jülich, Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH (#PTJ), underlined the potential Europe has to offer in terms of hydrogen mobility for a clean energy future. Representing BMW Group as a direct partner in this initiative, and together with 10 other companies, including 4 SMEs from 7 EU Member States we are committed to lead the hydrogen revolution through sustainable mobility and delivering substantial technical, socio-economic, and environmental benefits across the EU. #HydrogenEconomy #Sustainability #EnergyTransition #Innovation

On September 26th in Brussels, Skeleton Technologies joined Europe’s cleantech and policy leaders at the Cleantech for Europe Summit 2024 to address a critical question: How can Europe scale its cleantech sector fast enough to stay competitive, sustainable, and independent? Our CEO, Taavi Madiberk, emphasized three strategic priorities: 1️⃣ Bridging Europe's competitiveness gap with the U.S. and China by strengthening both supply and demand. 2️⃣ Aligning regulatory frameworks with industrial strategy to help European cleantech companies thrive. 3️⃣ Supporting policies that prioritize cleantech scale-ups capable of driving European innovation and autonomy. The summit also marked an exciting expansion of the Cleantech for Europe Scale-Up Coalition, welcoming 11 new members. Now 22 companies strong, this coalition unites Europe’s most promising cleantech pioneers, from Battolyser Systems in green hydrogen to Heart Aerospace in electric aviation. Together, we’re working to ensure that Europe’s industrial strategy is built by and for the leaders driving clean technology. Read our full blog post for all the insights shared by Skeleton Technologies and our fellow coalition members: https://lnkd.in/dPd_F4bN #Cleantech #EnergyStorage #GreenInnovation #SkeletonTechnologies #EUClimateAction #GreenDeal

Hydrogen mobility as measure to reduce CO2 emissions in the transport sector hylane organized this interesting event, which we gladly participated even though it was in parallel with Aachen Hydrogen Colloquium. The overall message: We need bold first movers making their investment decisions to accelerate the market ramp-up. New business models are emerging to bridge the gap that exists today. However, public funding is still important to accelerate the process

🙌 We would like to thank Science|Business for presenting BATT4EU, and our strategy and ambitions for the future of the European Battery R&I community! The BATT4EU partnership was launched in 2021 to mobilise €925 million in #funding for battery R&I. Since then, the sector has undergone great changes which required an updated strategy, through the #SRIA2024, to help coordinate funding efforts and maximize their impact. The SRIA will be implemented in the first calls of Work programme 2025, which will be published in spring 2025. The Partnership is committed to increasing coordination and achieving more of the strategic actions presented in the #SRIA2024, while also increasing collaboration within the ecosystem to enhance the expected impact. BEPA's Executive Director @Wouter IJzermans explained that “We’re looking on both sides to see how we can maximise our impact and fully realise what’s in the SRIA”.
