Next Step: More Women Referees and More women in coaching positions. Given that the NFL Fanbase is roughly 46% Women and girls, in the coming years there should be more opportunities available. Of course, needs to start at the Highschool and NCAA levels first and become a future pipeline.
Sunday’s Las Vegas Raiders-Carolina Panthers game made #NFL history as the first-ever matchup between two teams led by female presidents. Sandra Douglass Morgan of the Raiders and Kristi Coleman of the Panthers marked the occasion with a pregame game ball exchange 🏈
“Kristi has been a great colleague and friend, so to be able to share this moment with her makes it all the more special,” said Douglass Morgan. 👏
We do learn things every day but unfortunately we don’t always have time and/or energy to post it every day.
Today I learned that when the NFL has to decide who to keep for their 53 man roster and 16 man practice squad, that at least 10 of the practice squad personnel must have 2 or less years NFL experience.
What did you learn today? I truly would like to know.

The beauty of making a mistake is that you get to learn about behaviours that you shouldn’t repeat. We all make mistakes every day that become the stepping stones to a better future. The only way to learn what isn’t good for you is to actually experience it and not just heed the warnings of well-wishers. Live your authentic self without any facade of trying to please people. And of course, past mistakes and errors will not define where your future takes you. Just focus on the learnings and do better next time.
Without the bad, we would never learn to appreciate the good. And without the struggles, we would never know what we are truly capable of achieving.
When I go through a hard time and survive, I always look back and wonder, how the hell did I live through that?
Give yourself enough credit for having fought hard enough to come out the other side. You’ll end up feeling less like a victim and more like a person who is content with their existence. Your struggles will not define you, they will however toughen you up.
What is up to us, what is not up to us, which means you must understand what’s within your power to change and what isn’t, and focus on what you can control!!!
control your own attitude, emotions, judgments, and responses. You control how you see and respond to obstacles.
So, by focusing on the parts of your game under your control, you will see an increase in the overall level of your performances. Good luck 👍

It's not the size of the person in the fight, but the size of the fight in the person.
When Muggsy Bogues joined the league in 1987, he became the shortest player in history.
“A 5 foot 3 man playing in the NBA?”
“That impossible,” many said.
He didn’t let what they said get to him. He turned out to be a 14-season phenomenon who defied the odds. His story is about heart, hustle, and using his unique skills to his advantage.
While Bogues wasn't blessed with a towering physique, he had a speed advantage, supreme court vision, and a defensive tenacity that could make even the tallest players sweat. His low center of gravity made him a tenacious defender who could pickpocket much taller opponents. On offense, he zipped by defenders and racked up assists with pinpoint passes.
When we focus on what we can do instead of what we can’t, when we leverage our unique strengths instead of lamenting our weaknesses, we open the door to incredible possibilities.
In this blog post, we’re focusing on George Taliaferro, who was the first Black player drafted by the NFL.
