Last day in the office for 2024. Another year has passed and also marking a quarter century of me joining the rat race. 25 years—crazy, right? It feels like it’s gone by in the blink of an eye, but looking back, there’s a lot I’ve learned. If I could sum up what those years have taught me, here’s what I’d say: 1. Keep up with the lemons: Things change all the time. New tech, new bosses, new ways of doing things. The key is being able to adapt and not get stuck in the past. There are always 3 sides to every story. 2. Failure’s not the end: I’ve messed up plenty. But the big thing I’ve realized is that it’s not the mistake that matters—it’s what you do after. You learn, you bounce back, and you keep moving forward. When you meet a rock, roll with it! 3. People are everything: The work is important, but the people are even more important. The relationships you build along the way can teach you a lot and make all the difference. Of course, some stay and some move on. Might hurt a little, but it doesn’t matter. Life’s like that. 4. Take care of yourself: Work’s important, but so is your health. Burnout’s real, learn to take breaks, ask for help, and prioritize well-being. As a wise Jedi Master once said, “Be mindful of the future, but not at the expense of the present.” 5. Stay curious: There’s always something new to learn. Whether it’s a new skill, a different approach, or just something random. You are not a cat. Learning is a lifelong journey. 6. Don’t give up: Sometimes it’s just about pushing through, even when it feels tough. Perseverance has been a game-changer for me. Just keep going, one step at a time. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. A toast to those who have helped me along the way and my best wishes to those where my 2-cents might have contributed a little to your growth. May the Force be with you All. So yeah, 25 years down, and I’m not sure what’s gonna come next. Let’s see where the next chapter takes me. Keep The Faith! Wishing Everyone a Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year! #yearendthoughts #25years
