Yesterday at our school leadership meeting we discussed our Erasmus project. We have just received the evaluation of our midway report on our Accreditation so it was time to take stock and ensure that we were all in agreement about how to proceed. I talked about some of the things I learned and the challenges I had seen at the Erasmus course I recently attended in Alexandropolis where we worked on the Challenges of Greening. Now that doesn't mean the Sustainability needs to become a central strategic priority - but in order to work effectively as an organization, we all have to prioritize the UN Sustainability goals at both the micro and the macro level. Can we come up with Greener ways of implementing activities and building the skills, attitudes and attributes that will enable students to create a more sustainable future? As such I argued, having an Erasmus project isn't a project in itself- but supports all of our Institutional Goals: "We want to be the best school in Scandinavia at educating young people to lead the way and take responsibility - for themselves, for each other and for the community that we are all part of." For the 3rd year in a row, parent-school communication has made it into the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) State of EdTech District Leadership report as a technology priority. According to the report, over the past two years, 73% of districts made changes to their parental engagement practices by increasing the frequency of communications and expanding the number of communication channels they use. 24% provide more detailed information regarding student performance 23% provide more opportunities for two-way parent/teacher conversations 21% provide more detailed information regarding student performance

Today, we are opening up the opportunity to register to deliver the Environment Leaders Programme from September 2024 onwards. Not to sound too Ron Burgundy, but this is A Pretty Big Deal. It feels only right today to do a post thanking those Trailblazer centres that have - and continue to - influence our thinking and development on this qualification. This programme is our way of stepping up to support the goals of young people in a tangible way that will lead them beyond the classroom into the workplace and the wider world.
