🌟🤝 "The Importance of Compassion" 🤝🌟 Compassion is an essential human quality that connects us and provides comfort in difficult times. Especially for individuals facing dual challenges, compassion can be a source of support and understanding, both for themselves and others. Compassion means responding to the needs and feelings of others with an open heart. It requires putting ourselves in others' shoes and treating them with kindness and care. Through compassion, we can build bridges and strengthen communities by supporting and encouraging each other. For those living with chronic pain and autoimmune diseases, compassion can play an important role in understanding others' suffering and responding empathetically. By cultivating compassion for ourselves and others, we create an atmosphere of understanding and acceptance that helps us to collectively overcome our challenges. In a world often characterized by stress and hustle, it's important not to forget compassion. Through small acts of kindness and understanding, we can positively impact the lives of others and foster a culture of compassion that uplifts us all. #Compassion #Connection #Support #DualChallenges #Community 🌈🤗

Powerful to see how important 8 minutes can be.
Do you have 8 minutes? With so many in my community heartbroken this week over the loss of our friend Zayden, this brings some perspective. 5 simple words could change the outcome for someone. Take the time. Be there. Listen. #mentalhealthmatters

As children, we can be wounded by our mothers. This wounding is unintentional and stems from their own unhealed traumas. But it can wreck havoc on our adult relationships, creating chronic stress and fatigue -for us-. See below to understand why. Absolutely, it's a painfully familiar experience for many of us who have endured chaotic and abusive upbringings. The invalidation of our thoughts, feelings, and memories by our caregivers can be incredibly hurtful and damaging. Being gaslit with denials and accusations only adds to the trauma we've already endured. But you're right—we hold the truth within us, and our courage to confront it, process it, and strive to move forward is a testament to our strength. Though it's a challenging journey, we refuse to let the past define us. We're determined to heal and create a better future for ourselves, one step at a time. Keep moving forward, and know that you're not alone in this journey. 🌟 #MTICBIAI #MyTraumaIsChronicButIAmIconic #AbuseSurvivors #GaslightingAwareness #TruthSeekers #ValidationJourney #ResilientSoul #HealingProcess #CourageToConfront #MovingBeyondThePast #TherapyJourney #SelfEmpowerment #SupportNetworks #EmotionalRecovery #MentalHealthHealing #SurvivorStrength #BreakTheCycle
Sounds familiar? For those of us who were raised in chaotic and abusive homes, we know how excruciating it feels to then have our thoughts, feelings and memories completely invalidated when we confront our caregivers with the truth. "I never did that!" "You're lying!" "You needed to learn your lesson!" We know the truth. Unlike them, we are courageous enough to confront it, to process it and do our best to move on 🙏🏼
