I'm taking a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible learning opportunity I had at Vicara. Between May 2022 to October 2023, I had everything from learning new things to being challenged with a saying, "If you can't do this, then better to say: you are not learning anything" Being part of a complex project where I dived deep into microcontrollers, MQTT protocol, BLE-WiFi sensors, and machine learning concepts like NumPy and PyTorch was truly transformative. Collaborating closely with various team members, each bringing their unique expertise, was both challenging and immensely rewarding. A special shoutout to Sanskar Biswal, whose guidance on microcontrollers was invaluable; Gowtham TS, who demystified MQTT protocol; and Adarsh Warrier, whose insights into BLE-WiFi sensors were enlightening. A big thank you to Abhishek Satish for introducing me to the intricacies of NumPy and PyTorch. The project taught me more than just technical skills; it underscored the importance of teamwork and communication, encapsulated in a saying that became my biggest takeaway from my time at Vicara: "Abeneth, do not be a hero to your own problem." This philosophy has encouraged me to collaborate openly and learn from my peers, ensuring that I never find myself isolated in a cycle of unsolvable issues. Thank you, Vicara, for this invaluable chapter in my professional journey. Here's to more learning and growing together! "Tell me and I'll forget, show me and I may not remember, involve me and I understand" I'm so excited to share the amazing success of our second cohort of Hero MotoCorp's #YoungInnovatorProgram! Huge kudos to our incredible Innovation team for making this happen and the brilliant young minds who joined us. What began as an experiment has blossomed into a dynamic program for young changemakers. The Young Innovators Program 2024 is a month-long adventure for grades 9-12 students. It's not just about taking an idea from concept to reality – it's about sparking creativity, fostering innovation, and building those critical thinking skills. We were blown away by the 200+ students who applied from 17 schools across Delhi NCR. After a tough selection process, 28 talented innovators were chosen for this awesome journey. Hero Innovation Cell is all about pushing boundaries and doing things differently. Working with these young innovators has been so refreshing and inspiring – it reminds us of the limitless potential of the next generation. This program is more than a challenge; it gives students the skills and experiences they need to become tomorrow's leaders and problem-solvers. Their enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication have been truly inspiring. This 30-day activity was solely managed by the team in-house at our #Gurgaonplant under the leadership of Vikas. A separate cohort of 6 days was also planned at #Haridwarplant. Special mention to Yashpal for his supervision and support.
