We’re quick to judge. Today, I read a post throwing shade at influencers because they’re not “sales experts” (whatever that means). Everything people share, regardless of who they are, is based on their experience and their mental model of how selling works. We all make decisions through our own lenses, experiences, and worldviews. Remember: People are sharing perspectives, not facts. Focus on the teachings, not the teachers. Good ideas can come from anyone. Try what you want. See what works for you. Oh and turn the judgement switch off :-)

Somebody in MY industry asked me last week if I have a presence on social media/LinkedIn?😐 Um. Well, yeah, ya know. Um. I was struggling. Then I said, "Do you know Jeff Winter or Eddie Saunders Jr?" He said no.😀 Woohoo, I was off the hook! I learned, once they ask who you are, you are already behind. You start questioning your social presence, reach, and influence. Should I post more? Should I post better? Is it even worth it? Being an influencer was never my goal (obviously not), but engagement in MY industry has always been a goal, well before social media even existed. I 😍 meeting people, learning new tricks, breaking old beliefs (usually my own), and exploring uncharted territories. Being active on social media does not make you an influencer, but there is so much to learn, to gain, and to share. People want to engage, not everyone wants to sell you something.😠 So, however you want to measure your presence on social media...your engagement...influences people. #influence #engage #Industrial #LinkedIn

LinkedIn is flooded with influencers, founders and #sales people mostly Rest others are looking for jobs hence spending some time here. Selling #software has become challenging as most buyers are techies who are spending less time on #linkedin LinkedIn strategy alone is not enough unless the target buyer is either a founder or sales head. Tech VPs, veteran CTOs don't see much value for themselves here hence they are rarely active If your #customer is Enterprise and the decision maker is some tech CXO, you may need to rethink how/if you can leverage linkedin. #ceo #founder #leader #business #strategy
