I'm with a group of senior executive leaders from a wide range of Christian organizations and denominations across Canada, as part of a leadership pipeline symposium. The goal is to identify strategies to identify and equip the future generation of church and ministry leaders. Three observations so far: 1. For many, future leadership is not as appealing as it once was. Christian leadership in Canada is hard. 2. Current leaders are generally optimistic that solutions will be found. 3. Current executive leadership is demographically monolithic and the future needs to be more diverse than it is now. For those of you who are leaders of Christian organizations, what's your sense about the present and future of leadership? I'll share some more thoughts tomorrow. Mark --------------- I love equipping and inspiring great leadership and deep faith through teaching and coaching! 🔆Leadership cohorts 🔆One-on-one coaching 🔆Birkman Method assessment 🔆Graduate theological education Message me to find out more! #leadership #ceo #coaching #faith #impact #church

Grainne O'Reilly's insightful advice, "Do the job before you've got the title," is a powerful reminder that leadership isn't merely about a position, but about the actions and mindset that precede it. It emphasises the importance of gaining practical experience, developing essential skills, and building relationships within an educational community before assuming the responsibilities of a school principal. This approach ensures that future leaders are well-prepared, confident, and capable of effectively guiding their schools towards success. Ministry Leaders Workshop: Leadership Beyond the Workplace Attending the Ministry Leaders Workshop reminded me that true leadership extends far beyond our professional roles. Leadership isn’t just about achieving goals in the workplace—it’s about serving, inspiring, and guiding others in every area of life, especially within our faith communities. Being a leader in the church requires humility, compassion, and accountability. It means being there for others, fostering unity, and helping people grow in their faith. Leadership isn’t confined to the office; it’s a calling to positively impact lives wherever we are. #Leadership #Faith #MinistryLeaders

This is particularly crucial in public school districts where the well-being of both students and staff hinges on robust and visionary leadership. In today's video, we'll briefly examine a few programs that aim to develop educational leaders to their full potential. #EducationalLeader, Kim “When students are led well, they learn well.” The views shared in the Educational Leadership Moment are solely mine and do not reflect the positions of my employer or any entity within the local, state, or federal government sectors. #Education #Leadership
