Let's talk about NSAIDs - nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like Tylenol, Advil, and Aleve. 💊 They work well for acute low back pain or severe injuries with intense inflammation and pain. Yet, using them daily for a long time can cause health problems like liver damage, kidney failure, and stomach ulcers. 📆 While they're good for initial treatment, it's best to avoid long-term use because of possible side effects. Let's focus on safer pain management options! 💡 #ChiropracticCare #PainRelief #HealthySpine #WellnessJourney #BackPainRelief #ChiropracticWellness #WellnessGoals #PatientFirst #HealthAndWellness #CoralSpringsFL #HealthyLiving #NeckPainRelief #HolisticHealth #BodyAlignment #PainManagement

Medication Overuse Headache (MOH): What You Need to Know Did you know that taking headache medications too often can actually cause more headaches? This condition, known as medication overuse headache (MOH) or rebound headache, happens when daily or frequent use of rescue headache medications changes brain pathways, leading to central sensitization. MOH is identified by: •New headaches occurring 15+ days a month. •Overuse of medications like triptans, opioids, or acetaminophen for more than 10 days a month. •No other explanation for the headaches. The treatment may seem counterintuitive—stopping or tapering off these medications—but research shows this is the only way to break the cycle. Treatment also involves preventive strategies, nerve blocks, Botox, and psychological support to manage the primary headache. #HeadacheRelief #ChronicHeadache #PainAwareness
