The holiday chaos is creeping in. And here we are— The final month of 2024. 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳: What really mattered this year? Was it the big plans you talked about? The beliefs you clung to? The ideas you tossed around in your head? Or was it what you did? Because what you DO is where the magic happens. → The commitment → The follow-through → The little steps that add up to a big year December is the home stretch. But it’s also a blank slate. 31 days to take one more meaningful action. 31 days to do what you’ve been putting off. 31 days to end this year on your terms. 𝗣𝗦𝗔 - 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘁𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘄. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘁𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴. This whole 'wrap it all up before Christmas' thing is a bit weird really, isn't it? Do we really think it will matter in 10 years time? At the height of my time in consulting this was rampant. Like the huge influx of proposal requests or approvals that would come in that week or so prior to Christmas. Not because we could do anything about them. Just because someone else was 'tidying up before the new year'. The illusion of tidy The illusion of clean The illusion of progress The illusion of 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘭 How to do December differently? 1. Ask where you have self-imposed deadlines/ projects. 2. Check in with what really matters. The things you are hustling to complete, are they critical path? Are they needle movers? Do they actually matter? 3. No? Take them off your list. Don't feel guilty. 4. Yes? Get focused on what the real value is, and how you can best deliver that. 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗼. Are you caught up in the end of year finish up frenzy?

Most people will waste the next 31 days in holiday chaos. But you're not most people. That’s why this December comes with a different invitation—one to step away from the rush and lead the month with intention. How? Start small. Start intentional. Start today. ☕ Your 2-Minute Dawn Ritual: With your first sip: • Take 3 slow breaths • Name one priority for the day That’s it. Simple. Intentional. Powerful. Here’s the magic: These two minutes aren’t just a ritual—they’re a decision. A decision to stop surviving December and start designing it. The question is: Will you let this month happen to you, or will you happen to it? Most people let December slip by in a blur of busyness. But you? You’re not most people. Let’s make this your most intentional December yet.

November is moving so FAST

57 Days Until December 31, 2024 Hard to believe we’re nearly at the year’s end—2024 has flown by. This is the time to dig deep. Many will coast to the finish, and I’ve done that before, too. But this year feels different. We’re pushing forward with renewed energy, aiming to surpass goals we hadn’t even set in January. It’s an invigorating challenge. Let’s be realistic: while there are 57 days left, not all days are created equal. Thanksgiving: (-2.5 days) Christmas: (-2 days) New Year’s Eve: (-1 day) Suddenly, 57 days becomes 50. Factor in weekends and a bank holiday, and 50 dwindles to around 33. (I have heard that 50 is the new 33 but that's a different topic entirely) We’re all looking to finish 2024 strong. For S&L Capital Group, we’re pushing to close out our best year since we started. One sports motto sticks with me: “It’s not how you start; it’s how you finish.” A great start means little without a strong finish. If you’re behind, an even stronger finish can make all the difference. If you’re aiming to wrap up a few more deals this year, reach out. As we approach the end of 2024 let’s make December the best month. Let’s seek to maintain our rhythm for health, both physical and mental. Let’s seek to celebrate our accomplishments. Let’s honor and speak words of gratitude to those who have championed us, supported us. Let’s not lose sight of our priorities: faith, family and community. It is easy to feel an overwhelm at the end of the year. If we are not mindful and intentional we can find ourselves caught up in a hurried pace of doing and buying, pushing ourselves, letting our daily habits and routines fall to the wayside. Nothing good is gained in that. Our minds will be distracted and our focus will gravitate to what we have not accomplished, what we do not have, instead of seeing all that 2024 has taught us and brought us. Let’s choose to finish well. Let’s choose to keep our rhythms and set ourselves up to finish well and to begin 2025 our best selves.
