New episode with my friend, Leigh Sembaluk, the CEO and founder of Preception. Leigh started out as a professional footballer and coach, and later moved into tech—a shift that came from his frustration with the limits of traditional sports training. He noticed that important skills like spatial awareness and decision-making weren’t being measured or trained effectively, so he decided to build tools to address that. Leigh created Pro Instinct, an app that helps athletes develop these critical skills, starting with soccer players. What’s really interesting is that he didn’t stop at the elite level—he’s making sure young athletes from all backgrounds can benefit. Through partnerships like the North American Indigenous Games and Jumpstart, Leigh is ensuring kids from underserved areas can access high-level training, no matter where they’re from. If the #socialissue is lack of #communityengagement- especially by young people- the solution is giving individuals that want to platforms to make a difference. If the #socialissue is #isolation, especially for those in our community that are differently abled, the solution is creating opportunities for people to come together.
