First day back after a summer of joy, learning, growth, and skinned knees from pickleballing too hard! I'm thrilled to share that today is my first day at Pendulum as a Senior Enterprise Account Executive. I'm so ready to apply the lessons and ☀ energy of my summer break into this next chapter! Pendulum was an easy choice for me, not just because of the kindness, intelligence, and drive of the team, but because they are taking huge amounts of publicly available data that would have historically been consumed manually and with error, and are now leveraging technology to make it actionable for businesses. For the uninitiated, Pendulum helps brands with a global social presence to proactively identify trends in how the public is perceiving and speaking about them in audio and video content, and to leverage their marketing and communications teams to manage that image. As I said, after an amazing summer break (drafted a post on this, TBD if I'll share), I am so ready to dive into all things Pendulum, and doing so as the best version of myself.

Meet Gidi Hazan, US IT Manager at Kramer Americas! 🎉 Tell us a bit about yourself: “My journey with Kramer began as a summer job at the age of 16.5, assisting with wiring and manual manufacturing tasks. This early exposure led me to pursue practical electronics engineering in college. Post-graduation, I rejoined Kramer in the lab, eventually progressing to the R&D department. After a stint as a self-employed professional, I returned to Kramer, initially in the IT department, before relocating to Kramer US, where I've now been for 9 years. As the US IT Manager, I not only oversee the American team but also provide support to our colleagues in Singapore and Australia. Outside of work, I'm an avid bike rider and enjoy hiking.” What do you like the most about working at Kramer? “I love the satisfaction of solving people's problems, or discovering these problems even before they are discovered. I love my job, and I love to help people.” What are your career goals? “I’m very pleased with where I am right now. I enjoy my position and continue to grow through the knowledge I acquire as part of my job.” What book, TV series or movie do you recommend? “I recommend watching ‘The Pharmacist’ on Netflix for an engaging viewing experience.” What did you learn while working at Kramer? “Kramer has been a significant part of my professional growth. Nearly everything I know professionally today, I've learned here. #EmployeeSpotlight - Jeffrey Thumas I am so excited that September marks my 4 years here at GBR! Throughout my time here, I have seen a lot of changes. Not only from the company itself, but my journey and sense of purpose here has also significantly changed. To me, purpose is a fluid concept, often shifting as we navigate through various stages of our lives and careers. My journey at GBR has been a testament to this fluidity. When I first started in adops, my sense of purpose was primarily driven by a desire to excel and prove myself as a valuable asset and be given the opportunity to grow. My initial goals were centered around absorbing any and all knowledge, completing projects, earning accolades, and advancing my career in every way. However, as time passed, my positions at GBR changed and my perspective began to broaden. A pivotal moment that solidified this shift occurred when I came to the realization of my true purpose at GBR. I realized that my sense of fulfillment and purpose was increasingly tied to the well-being of the people around me as well as the continued success of GBR. I realized that I find deep satisfaction in fostering and growing success within the company as a whole. This realization has had a profound impact on the choices I make everyday. I find myself not only trying to better myself, but also prioritizing initiatives that advance our goals and our team. My approach shifted from focusing solely on my own purpose, to also prioritizing the continued success of GBR and empowering others to do the same. 4 years at Lindström have flown by like a breeze! OK, I will be honest, it has not been just a breeze 😅 Rather like a day of Latvian summer – some hours of sun and warmth, then a few gusts of strong wind, and after a moment of storm, everything is perfect again. Overall, it has been a positive, fun and educational journey and I am still hungry for more professional adventures. The biggest lessons I have learned: 🍎 Managing a company where almost half of the employees work in a laundry is significantly more exciting and challenging than being responsible only for office staff and processes. 🍎 Instead of only focusing on only people and their routines, I am today also responsible for technological processes and equipment, their maintenance, improvement and enhancing production efficiency – this factor has given me a much broader experience than any company I have ever worked at.   🍎 Appreciative leadership style is definitely best suited to me – I continue to nurture and develop this approach, constantly seeking for ways how to allow my team members use and benefit their various strengths.   🍎Working in a company whose values completely align with my own has been a crucial additional motivation. Y'all, this week wraps my 5th year at Trellist Marketing and Technology! I've always been big on career milestones, work anniversaries, etc. because they give you an opportunity to reflect and appreciate all you've accomplished. 😊 As I've taken time to do that lately, I find myself pretty surprised by just how much I've grown and changed since I started this chapter in 2019. I've mastered new tools, expanded soft and hard skills, and shifted the direction of my career from social strategy, to data analytics, and ultimately into account management and consulting. I see now it was a natural progression for me as I learned what I enjoyed, what I muddled through, and what I was naturally skilled at in each role I've held. #CareerPathing is rarely linear, so it's important to find an environment that allows for exploration and development. Short-term thinking companies focus on finding the right employees to fit a crucial role. Long-term thinking companies also strive to find the right roles to fit crucial employees. #EmployeeRetention requires long-term thinking. Thanks to my Trellist colleagues for the past 5 years. We've been smart together. We've been weird together. Most importantly, though, we've grown together.❤️ PS. You're all welcome for the nicknames I've given you over the years. 😉

🎉 Celebrating my 24th birthday this week! Until recently age was something I avoided discussing, afraid that it would downplay my years of experience but after joining the corporate world days after turning 16, I'm also celebrating 8 years in corporate retail. Since joining the team at Quadmark I have come to appreciate the insight and experience I have gained by starting when I did and wanted to share some of my biggest lessons so far: Diverse Mentors: Valuable lessons often come from unexpected sources. Embracing diverse perspectives teaches you the best lessons. Seek out unexpected mentors—they may provide insights that shape your journey. Embrace Challenges: Growth in my career has often stemmed from daunting challenges. Each obstacle is a chance for personal and professional development. Say yes to scary things.
