Like many, I’m sure, this weekend was a whirlwind of Christmas activities, mainly involving my husband and me playing taxi drivers for the kids as they bounce from one Christmas party to another. Honestly, their social lives put ours to shame!
On Saturday, we made our annual trip to pick out the Christmas tree—fitting that I later realised it was Small Business Saturday. For years, we’ve been getting our Christmas tree from the same place, never once thinking of going anywhere else.
There’s nothing like the fresh scent of pine trees, twinkling lights and a bit of Michael Bublé to get us in the Christmas spirit! The team at Stoneybrook Nursery goes the extra mile and then some to create a magical experience—especially for the kids.
These small, family-run businesses are true gems and brilliantly showcase that in a world where it is easy to believe all that glitters is gold, it’s important to remember that it’s not flashy marketing or promotions that build loyalty. It’s the relationships, trust, and memorable experiences that keep people coming back.
