This is leadership. There is something we can do to help someone else be better, feel better about themselves. A very powerful CEO said when I asked the question, ask if this is the best we can do? Well for me, I say no. If these babies can give more and not look for something in return, what about me. Leadership is helping you become better and do better in the job we hired you for. Leadership is working to see the responsibilities balanced, the quality improved, the business completed correctly the first time and the staff supported and excited about being a part of the vision. Leadership is being there. Leadership is I will help you even when you are too ashamed to ask. It’s growth, it’s community, it’s inclusion and it’s diverse. As a leader, I look for ways to improve the quality for the patient, the work and the staff. A gentle word, a thank you, goes a long way. I create loyalty to the mission by giving loyalty to them. This creates a culture for positive change.

Tomorrow is my 21st anniversary and in celebration of love, I will share, how I met my spouse. It is our love story. This weekend, focus on your love story, write it down, share it with your spouse.
