Another Forbes Friday! What do you expect to see at CES? Often the home of new TV concepts and robots, I picked something a little less visible: the AI chips that will be embedded inside devices. In an interesting turn of events, Forbes Technology Council selected my answer to be first on the list! I also like Marc Fischer's answer of vehicle-to-grid power, I think that's a big change people will start to want as they switch to electric cars. Check out these answers and more at the link below. https://lnkd.in/en3yF8UK

The world relies on millions of different products each day. Vehicles that are built to take us places safely. Medical devices that improve our lives by detecting and treating our health conditions. Robots that package, sort, and deliver groceries to our homes. Even satellites and cell phone towers that make it possible to pick up a phone and call our family. Every day, we rely on these products shaping how we live, work, and play. And the companies that make the products we rely on, rely on PTC to design, manufacture, and service their products. So cool to see a Flex branded product out in the wild. Typically don't have our logo on the products we make. "NVIDIA DRIVE spotlighted our collaboration on Flex’s Jupiter design platform at the 2024 GTC AI conference earlier this week! Featuring NVIDIA’s DRIVE Orin systems-on-a-chip, the manufacturing-ready platform enables automakers to deliver software-defined vehicles and ADAS solutions at scale, faster. Our work with NVIDIA is an example of how the mobility ecosystem can accelerate innovation and make transportation safer through deep, ongoing cross-industry collaboration."

Advancements in vehicle perception and computer vision technology over the last 25 years has transformed the automotive industry and made today's vehicles safer than they have been in the past. A single sensor and chip is an important part of this story, where one front camera can now enable common safety features like Automatic Emergency Braking (#AEB) and Forward Collision Warning (#FCW). What's next? How does the industry advance towards Vision Zero and improving the driving experience? At AutoSens USA 2024, Yoni Epstein will be shining light on the new era of vision-based intelligent driving. Where additional sensors coupled with advancements in computing and AI, are paving the path for hands-off and eventually eyes-off driving across ODDs. Read more: https://lnkd.in/dB5QhMC2

Have you ever wondered how Spot, the Boston Dynamics quadruped robot, sees? 👀 Answer: IR lights! 💡 In fact, in the dark or in the light, it's through IR light that Spot can assess its surroundings and figure out where it's going... Spot-vision isn't exactly what we're used to seeing with our own eyes, but we think it's pretty cool. IR lights are just one of the many sensors Spot is equipped with: to learn more about Spot, book a demo, or add Spot to your team, reach out to FLYMOTION today!
