What are your First Day traditions? First day of a new job or project, first day after vacation… Transitions are big for adults too, especially us A-students trained on shiny new notebooks and first day outfits. We need to know it’s okay to feel awkward and nervous-excited about something new. To celebrate what’s to come and maybe mourn what’s left behind. Or bake yourself cookies and put a sweet note in your own lunchbox. How do you acknowledge & celebrate what’s new for you?

Monday: Week's Focus Alright fellas, this week we’re diving into something that brings it all together: What Are My Responsibilities As A Man? When you’re living with purpose, it’s not just about understanding who you are or why you’re here—it’s about owning the responsibilities that come with it. And let’s be real, being a man with purpose means stepping up in ways that truly matter. So, What does that look like for you? Maybe it’s being more present for your family, taking a leadership role in your community, or even making sure you're growing as a person in areas you’ve been neglecting. Here’s the thing: responsibilities aren’t always easy. Sometimes, we avoid them because they feel heavy or we’re unsure where to begin. But the truth is, when we embrace what we’re called to do, we start living life with more meaning and direction. So, let’s talk about it— What responsibilities do you feel you need to step into right now to live out your purpose? Is it something big like a career or family, or something more personal like self-discipline or growth? Could you share your thoughts in the comments? I’d love to hear what you think, and let’s support each other as we walk this path.

Today is National Goof Off Day. And no one celebrated it better than Ferris Bueller. His motto was "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop to look around once in a while you could miss it." And he most certainly lived by his words. Ferris managed to fake sick his way into his 9th day off of the year ("Nine times"); sing in a parade; impersonate Abe Froman, The Sausage King of Chicago to sneak his friends into an elite restaurant; go to a Cubs game; and convince Cameron to let the trio of friends " "borrow" his dad's 1961 Ferrari 250GT California for a day of adventures that the parking valets also enjoyed for a few hours. Ferris taught us to embrace life in the moment. Take a day off of work or school not because of a planned vacation or because you have a life event that needs attention. Take a day off to do something you've never done before. Do something fun. Do something crazy. Do something fun and crazy. And when you decide to take that day off, remember what Ferris said when Cameron asked him this about their upcoming day off: Cameron: "What are we going to do?" Ferris: "The question isn't, 'What are we going to do?'. The question is 'What aren't we going to do?" Happy National Goof Off Day! Make Ferris proud. #nationalgoofoffday #taketimeforyou #relax #fun #spontaneous #lifeadvice

It’s times like this you never forget. Moments that mark you. It’s that moment when you realize that you CAN follow-through longterm. That you’ve made it almost 6 months in a pathway to developing lasting fitness habits. That your ring fits and your pants don’t - because you’re healthier than you’ve been in a decade. This can be your story too. You just need to bail on “mainstream” approaches and instead turn back to ancient principles. Things simple to implement, and easy to sustain. Things you can do for a lifetime not just for a program. If that sounds like a breath of fresh air, consider joining us at: https://www.missionfit.co Keep up the legendary work Jonathan E. Garza 🔥
