Family is so precious. I woke up today with appreciation on my mind. Appreciation for loved ones I do have. I have never been one to take family for granted. In the past few months, I have been faced with many challenges, but I have overcome those challenges because of family. With Grandparents Day approaching, it’s a great time for kids to show their love and appreciation. I have been thinking of a few ways to do it: 1. Handmade Gifts – Help your kids to create personalized cards or crafts. 2. Activities – Plan a day dedicated to family. It really doesn’t matter what activities you plan, as long as you plan them together. “Life is short” may be a common saying. However, it’s more apparent when you think of the stages in life. 3. Random Acts of Kindness – Small gestures like helping with their landscaping or an invite for breakfast can mean the world to grandparents. 4. Videos/Photos – Most cell phones compile loving messages from family members into a video tribute. Talking about loved ones who are no longer with us may hurt a bit, but their memories should live for a very long time. Let’s make this Grandparents Day a meaningful celebration of love and gratitude! My humble opinion. #GrandparentsDay #CelebrateFamily #SpecialMemories
