This alert notifies that Triphenyl Phosphate (CAS number: 115-86-6, EC number: 204-112-2) has been added to the Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). This addition brings the total count on the SVHC list to 242 substances. Reason for Addition: Triphenyl Phosphate was included on the SVHC list due to its endocrine-disrupting properties, meaning it can interfere with hormonal systems, which could have significant health and environmental implications. It’s commonly used as a flame retardant and plasticizer in products like polymers, adhesives, and sealants. Regulatory Impact: Companies that manufacture or import products containing Triphenyl Phosphate are now required to notify ECHA if this substance is present in their products. This notification must happen within six months of its inclusion on the Candidate List. This step ensures transparency, allowing regulatory bodies to track the use of this chemical in products and maintain consumer safety. more details check below https://lnkd.in/gF_5Tfps #ECHA #SVHC #chemicals #newsusbtance #REACH #candiatelist
