New Year's Day Gratitude Post! What are we grateful for? To live and work in a community that cares about kids and families. To be surrounded by farms that grow the best food on the planet. To partner with more than 70 schools and agencies to share nutritious food with families. To have access to so much fresh produce from Good Shepherd Food Bank and to have Hannaford, Shaws Supermarket, Standard Baking Co. and Rosemont Market & Bakery as our food rescue partners. To welcome more than 150 volunteers whose time and commitment make our programs possible. To have 56 (and counting) community members support our programs with monthly gifts. To know that local funders like the United Way of Southern Maine and John T. Gorman Foundation are committed to nourishing kids.
