MYSTIC 🐉 WARRIORS Accounting, Shamanic When I first met my new friend from Oregon, Meghan, I was immediately captivated by the unique blend of her professional and spiritual identities. Fusing her strengths as an ACCOUNTANT and SHAMAN, she embodies a fascinating juxtaposition of the analytical and the mystical. Her life’s ethos bridges these two worlds in ways that are both profound and inspiring. I immediately appreciated her approach, which seamlessly integrates the precise world of accounting with the deeply intuitive practices of shamanism. ACCOUNTING, often perceived as a purely technical discipline, takes on a deeper dimension when examined through the lens of SPIRITUALITY. ACCOUNTING, at its core, is about EQUILIBRIA or BALANCE—both literal and metaphorical. It ensures that financial transactions are recorded accurately, mirroring the equilibrium of economic activities. Approaching ACCOUNTING as a form of EMOTIONAL ACCOUNTING, a concept developed by John Gottman (b. 1942), allows us to view financial interactions in a new light. Gottman’s idea of emotional BIDS—where positive responses are deposits and negative responses are withdrawals—translates seamlessly into financial interactions. Positive financial practices—whether they involve transparent dealings, ethical investments, or mindful budgeting—serve as deposits into our relational and emotional bank accounts. By maintaining this balance, we foster stronger, more resilient relationships, both personal and professional. Similarly, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche (1939-1987) introduced the SPIRITUAL WARRIOR concept, and in his “Shambhala: The Sacred Path of the Warrior” Trungpa envisions the spiritual warrior as someone who engages with the world courageously and with wisdom, integrating inner strength with outward action. This perspective of congruence navigates the world by balancing the analytical and the mystical, the material and the spiritual. By merging ACCOUNTING with SHAMANIC practices, we honor the flux in all aspects of life, embodying a more natural flowing approach to financial and spiritual well-being. From this synthesis, we recognize that ACCOUNTING transcends mere balance sheets and profit margins. Through total stakeholder perspectives, accounting becomes a reflection of our PURPOSE, VALUES, ETHICS, and SPIRITUALITY. By embracing the analytical rigor of ACCOUNTING and the profound insights of SHAMANISM, we can more fully embody the spirit of the MYSTIC WARRIOR. Be inspired by this way to navigate life’s complexities. By ensuring that our financial and spiritual practices are harmoniously aligned, we honor the inclusional nature of all things. 🐲 〰️ #MysticWarriors #Spiritual #Warrior #Shaman #Accountants #Emotional #Bids

I just met Nicky Clarke 🎶 , who Gifted me with the new title of: “Mystic Warrior” I cannot thank you enough, Nicky! I have been trying in vain to figure out how to describe myself, because in mystic circles, titles are bestowed by the community, not taken. I did in fact earn the title of shaman that way, as “young” of a mystic as I was at the time. It’s a bit of a long video, but this is where I share a key part of my #OriginStory https://lnkd.in/gjtjfgdW

I had the honor of playing football under the late & great legend (pirate), Mike Leach. Coach Leach did a phenomenal job of subconsciously planting seeds of our team values in our minds every single day. These 3 values are things that I have taken with me into the rest of my life as it applies to all aspects. 1. Be the best at doing your job - The size of the job doesn't matter. The job itself doesn't matter. If you have a job to do, you do that job to the best of you ability. If your job is to clean the toilets, you become the best toilet cleaner in the company. If your job in the family is to do the dishes & take out the trash, do the dishes & take out the trash with pride. These things carry over. Everyone has a role & every role matters. There is no such thing as "small" when it comes to doing your job. If you're good with a little, you'll be great with a lot. How you do anything is how you do everything. So no matter the job, find a way to bring value & be the best at that job, creating a lane of your own. 2. Be the most excited to play - To me, being the most excited to play means injecting abundance & positive energy into everything you're doing. YOU set the tempo, YOU set the energy level, YOU set the standard. Have contagious energy & set the tone for the days, weeks, months, & years. When you have a team of excited & bought in individuals, that's how you win championships, scale companies, & create a great culture. 3. Be a team - No matter what, be a team. This goes for families & companies. Everything is for the greater good of the team. That's how you build a solid foundation & culture within your company or family. No one is above or below the team. Being a team is about reciprocity, consideration, accountability, & vulnerability. Moving as a united front. Creating a type of trust that you could go to war with. If you want to go fast go alone, you want to go far go together. I have always said that these 3 values will be painted on a mural of coach Leach as a Pirate when I get an HQ some day. Love you coach, thank you for the wisdom. p.s. Here's an interview I did w/ Coach Leach right before he passed, it's worth a listen: https://lnkd.in/dGMqjgMC

Here is the video illustrating my poem, "Old Glory".
"Old Glory" should grab every American's heart ... as it is a constant, proud ... reminder of an ... iconic flag ... cherished by every generation of our beloved USA ... since July 4, 1776!
