12,581. An 11% WoW increase in trades on Sporttrade. The founding thesis of Sporttrade was to borrow concepts from the financial trading industry to create the dominant "exchange" within sports betting. To build the winning platform, we borrowed ideas and technology from what other successful venues did and built a ridiculously institutional trading platform (Jonathan Ross likes to call our system 'Nasdaq 2012' which has more firepower than we'll need for a while), and then aligned ourselves with who we thought were going to be the most successful market making firms. SIG and Dime Line are those firms. Players on Sporttrade yesterday traded into 1.5% wide main-line markets for $15k+ size, live markets for $5k+ size instantly (no delay), and over 500 different player prop markets, including in-play player props (which are proving to be quite popular for NBA!). This week we're introducing "GTX" order type, a feature for our more advanced players to be able to set custom "timers" on their resting orders, such as "$1,000 on 76ers to Win, cancel if unfilled after for 2 minutes". Beyond that? We're focusing 100% of our effort to simplify our experience and broaden our TAM, borrowing a lot from what Robinhood, Polymarket, and Kalshi have demonstrated recently. After all, 12k trades in a week is a drop in the bucket compared to where we want to be. Thank you Bradley Allen for the feature, and credit to Alun Bowden who has inspired a many of the ways I think about Sporttrade's positioning in the industry.
