🛍️ The future of commerce is creator-led As creators shape how we shop, Linktree is evolving from a link-in-bio platform to a commerce powerhouse. Our partnerships with major brands like Amazon, Target, and SEPHORA through Linktree Shops are just the start. By simplifying how creators connect their audiences to the products they love, we’re empowering them to thrive in the creator economy. Our latest Creator Commerce Report underscores why this evolution matters: 📈 Creators are driving massive traffic. In 2024, 20% of the 1.3B average monthly clicks on Linktree were commerce-related. On Black Friday and Cyber Monday, clicks surged by +150%. 🤝 Authenticity is key. 63% of creators won’t promote products they don’t believe in. This “persuasion currency” builds trust and drives sales. 💰 Income remains a challenge. 70% of creators earned under $49,000 last year, and inconsistent monetization remains a top pain point. Creators deserve tools that help them thrive and brands need an easier way to reach audiences authentically. We couldn't be more excited to be doubling down on commerce to make this happen. 💬 I’d love to hear your thoughts. How do you see creators shaping the future of shopping? What have you purchased lately because a creator you trust recommended it?

About 70% of influencers earn $75,000 or less each year, with affiliate revenue streams providing the bulk of that, while brand partnerships are less reliable for generating income. That's according to a survey of 1,562 creators by Linktree, the Melbourne startup that created link-in-bio, which is used by celebrities and creators wordwide to connect their social media followers to external websites. The report found that the biggest pain point for influencers is producing consistent content (59%), followed by uncertainty around changing algorithms on social media platforms (55%). Linktree found that online sales periods create the most valuable moments for influencers — with Black Friday and Cyber Monday causing a 150% increase in clicks on influencers' link-in-bios. "Authenticity is key. 63% of creators won’t promote products they don’t believe in. This 'persuasion currency' builds trust and drives sales," said Alex Zaccaria, Linktree Co-Founder, in a post on LinkedIn. How do creators influence your purchasing decisions? Comment below. The Future of Commerce is Creator-Led* *Mic drop - exit stage left. Alex Zaccaria's post perfectly captures what so many of us are seeing: creators aren’t just shaping commerce, they’re leading it. From driving massive traffic to redefining authenticity in advertising, creators are the backbone of modern commerce. At BYRDLI, we’ve watched this transformation firsthand in the travel space. Creators are no longer just influencers; they’re business owners, curators, and innovators. They’re building travel businesses that align with their personal brands, inspiring their communities to explore the world in more authentic and meaningful ways. What resonates most from Alex’s post is the need for sustainable monetisation. For creators to truly thrive, they need tools and platforms that empower them to build consistent, long-term revenue streams. It’s why we’ve focused on providing creators with the means to not only monetise their influence but also own their space in travel. This isn’t just the future of commerce, it’s the future of connection, creativity, and community-driven growth. I’d love to hear how others are seeing creators drive change in their industries. What’s the most impactful creator-led moment you’ve experienced this year? #creatoreconomy #travelandleisure #travel #travelindustry #hospitality #traveltechnology #creator #creators #changemanagement #techfounder #founderthoughts #startupjourney

Has Temu’s growth reached a tipping point? As I shared with CNN this week, Temu’s aggressive expansion has created an imbalance of incentives: consumers want better, cheaper goods faster; sellers want to sell more at higher margins; and Temu wants to see recurring revenue to justify its massive marketing investment while ensuring growth in seller services to smooth out earnings. And the recent protests and sellers mobilizing against the platform is exhibit A. Discontent has been brewing for a while and finally reached a tipping point. The sellers have had it. They are angered by the lack of transparency and communication regarding hefty fines, the platform’s power to arbitrarily adjust prices in the “全托管” (full fulfillment) model, and the crushing reality that it’s almost impossible to make a profit selling on Temu. It will be interesting to see if a case for legal class action against Temu will emerge soon. https://lnkd.in/eCyp8Mb5

Waterdrop was having trouble penetrating the US market. In a market with many better-known alternatives and a higher price point it was a challenge. Nectar came in with a plan to improve content and shopping experience. Build brand recognition. And build up product subscribers, knowing that customer lifetime value was going to be THE key driver of sales growth. The results were amazing. Check out the case study and see the brand store: A 36% increase in CLV in less than 6 months. A 34% decrease in CAC. And a 76.9 increase in Subscribe and Save customers in less than 5 months. https://hubs.la/Q02Kyq530
