Reading books is absolutely, 100% important, but read the right books. Don't just go read Harry Potter. What is that gonna do for your career? You're gonna do anything. Reading books is very critical, but on the hand, learning when you can hear it first hand, those conversations. Because in the end, when you're new to sales, it's intimidating to get on the phone, especially from a cold call perspective. I tell you all about it. I remember my first door I went to and knocked and they opened it and I was like. No good. I wasn't ready for it. I wasn't ready for it. And then by that time, yeah, then by the time I was so used to, used to and comfortable, I remember I went right through the door of a doctor's office, like back behind his desk to get to the doctor, that they ended up throwing me out of the building. So it's like you start getting more comfortable where you understand, I get past Yankee. But you don't gain that without mentorship because unless you see it first hand, I'm a big believer. Education is important, but work experience on site training is unmatched. It's unparallel book smart street smarts.
