Day 13 of Something That Makes Me Human: Many days, many moments, I love being alone. As much as loneliness is a raging epidemic we all will be forced to pay attention to before long if we aren’t already.. It’s often quite fun and cathartic to just exist by yourself without the pressures of literally anything external at all. I know this is a privileged ability in life - escaping all responsibilities to just focus on oneself, for even 5 minutes every day, but if you can, you might try it. Feeling alone is different than feeling lonely. The first describes a state of being, the second describes a state of feeling. I can be alone and very, veryyyyy content. Sidebar - can any working moms or dads relate!? Do you too ever relish that 5 minutes after you park your car before you go inside or Do you leap out and face the chaos head on like the rabid wild animal you actually are!? 😆 Can you tell I soak in my 5 minutes of silence!? <<<>>><<<>>><<<>>><<<>>> Much respect to all those who have found happiness in being alone in life at times. It’s not an easy feat to accomplish, and sometimes learning how to live well alone is born sadly out of necessity not by desire. Especially now that loneliness is an epidemic, bringing remedy is critical to the wellbeing of millions including me and you. No one can escape loneliness in life, it’s a commonality we all share in some way shape or form. So knowing that, please be at peace friends knowing you are not alone. (Ok unless you are choosing to be alone rn then carry on 🙃🙂)! Please ring the bell to be informed of more details on the first episode of LoneliLESS the podcast coming soon. We’ll tackle the mountain one step, one conversation at a time. All my love! 🫶HH #MentalHealthAtWork #YouAreNotAlone #WorkplaceWellness #EndLoneliness #SuicidePrevention

Dear LinkedIn Community, Did you know that emotions can impact our immune system? 🤔 - Anger: Just one minute of intense anger weakens the immune system for several hours. Managing stress and finding healthy outlets for frustration are crucial. - Laughter: On the bright side, a minute of genuine laughter can boost your immune system for a longer duration—up to 24 hours! 😄 Share a joke, watch a funny video, or reminisce about hilarious moments—it's good for your health! Remember, a positive mindset contributes to overall well-being. Let's choose laughter over anger! 🍃🤗 #Wellness #Mentalhealth #Mindscape

If there is one thing I could tell you if you are feeling burnt out right now it’s this… Ask yourself.. How full is your cup right now? Take a look at it. Is there something you can take out of that cup to make more space for yourself? When we start a health program normally it’s about adding more, right? More exercise, more fiber, more protein.. But do you ever consider what you need to take away?💭 We are always going, going, going and doing, doing and doing. There is only so much you can fill in your cup before it starts to spill and overflow Before it becomes too heavy to hold ✨Are you getting enough sleep, having fun, have you got space for joy and laughter? ✨Are you feeling like everything is super urgent? ✨Are you reacting to seemingly small things? ✨Are you feeling foggy-brained? ✨Are you always in a rush? If you are relating to any of these then maybe it’s a sign your cup is overflowing and becoming too heavy to hold. If you don’t even know where to begin with this..if it all seems a bit too much to even consider. If you are too busy, then it’s a sign! Reach out for support. I created my one on one breakthrough sessions to cover things like this, so we can get you making more space in your life to really start taking care of yourself and move forward from burnout and overwhelm. #burnout #burnoutprevention

“You will bloom if you take the time to water yourself” ~Unknown When you don’t water beautiful flowers, they begin to wither and cannot support themselves. The same goes for your own physical and mental health. It’s important to water your body and soul with things that replenish you, especially when you’re stressed! Here are some ideas on how to de-stress your mind and body 😌💗🧘💫 Meditate - Create a little zen-den in your room with candles and calming music. Allow your entire self to relax. Journal - Vent all those thoughts and emotions onto paper and you’ll begin to feel so much better! Take a nature walk - With the weather getting warmer out, it's the perfect time to soak up the sunshine on a nice walk. Maybe even listen to your favorite music or listen to a podcast. Take a nap - Sometimes your body just needs a little extra rest. Remember that naps are supposed to be in the 20-90 minute range. A 20-minute nap provides restorative benefits without the grogginess feeling. A 90-minute nap allows your body to complete a full sleep cycle which is great if you’re feeling really tired. Eat to reduce stress - Incorporate stress-reducing foods like fatty fish, berries, apples, bananas, and leafy greens! What’s your favorite stress-relieving activity? #StressRelief #WaterYourself #Bloom #HealBetter

❤️🩹You cannot heal if you do not slow down. Your body cannot heal in the same way we learned to survive. When we've become comfortable with urgency, busyness, and rushing through life, our nervous system perceives slowing down as uncomfortable. 🔴 If we continue to experience high stress in life, we dissociate from many things, including our own body. If symptoms are ignored, the body continues to layer multiple symptoms until you start to listen. This can manifest as layers of tension, pain, anxiety, fear, or rigidity, all of which influence our nervous system's adaptability. 🔴 When this happens, the nervous system lacks the opportunity to grow and heal, and we become stuck in a state of survival. Survival strategies cloud our ability to communicate, make aligned decisions, have a clear vision of our purpose, and choose chaos over peace, pleasure and excitement over consistency and safety. This drives us to look for a quick answer instead of moving through a process. 🙌 Safety is the foundation for a resilient nervous system. Safety to slow down. Safety to be present. Safety to feel joy and happiness. Safety to feel love. Safety to rest. 💫 Healing happens in slowness. You heal as fast as the slowest parts of you feel safe enough to go. There is no other way. ✨ Even when our schedules get busy, as they inevitably will, we still must find moments of slowness. 🎁 Slowing down looks like: * Eating slowly * Going for a walk * Taking a moment * Listening to your body * Putting down the phone * Arriving earlier just to sit * Taking a social media cleanse * Listening to the sounds of nature * Taking the afternoon and evening to do nothing #nervoussystemhealing #healing #health #holistichealing #ultimatewellness #wellness #stressmanagement #pranichealing #miami #miamibeach
