Our Victorian carers, young people and staff came together for a special Christmas celebration filled with fun and connection. From carnival games to craft stations and a hands-on reptile encounter, there was something for everyone to enjoy. A big thank you to Total Beauty Network for their generous donation of $5000 worth of beauty products for our carers – a thoughtful gesture that recognised and celebrated their vital role in our community. 🎅 Explore more stories about how we have celebrated the festivities across Life Without Barriers here: https://ow.ly/iZrk50Ut2ml ID: 1. This has been a late appeal, as I was not meant to be in Sydney for the CEO Sleepout this year. but I got to reflect this week on how a Christmas event led to an understanding and so many talks over the years. (Plus scroll the PDF for a little of what I can offer of value to you in return for your help). Warren in 2015 asked me to come along to Bill Crew's Xmas Feast for the Homeless. I ended up managing the security detail at the lines and realised how big and how complex the problem was. Families, Kids, the old, the young. This not only led to accompanying Warren and Julie to the Vinnies CEO Sleepout the next year, but to lots of talks and seeing institutions like Exodus Foundation and Vinnies do so much to help. Please donate here and message for what you would want from the options I offer: https://lnkd.in/g3hkJu2N or to Warren's page: https://lnkd.in/gvPAsKYj or to Julie's page: https://lnkd.in/g8bvPJTX It all goes to help the truly needy. The Offers: Something to say thank you in return for your donations: 1) Photoshoot: A favoured pastime, I have also helped direct large photoshoots in the past, so Donate $100: Profile shot or stylised shot Donate $300: product shots 2) Branding strategy and Design: I have been an award-winning creative director and strategist. Here I will help with giving my time for your brand when you donate. Please look at the slide for options or write your own 3) Startup Advice: I have been an advisor for over a decade, Guest lectured at UNSW and others on topics of Brand Equity build, Defensive measures for long-term growth and marketing. My time is available for you if you donate. 4) Build a Custom Water-Cooled PC My first earning was via building 486 multimedia computers. I continue this to date as a hobby, and will build your dream PC when you donate $1000 (closed-loop water cooling) or $2500 (Custom Tubing). Parts separate as per your choice. 5) Jive / Bachata / Hip-hop / Salsa Basics: My first earning job was as a choreographer. Spend $100 and I will teach an introductory session to one of the 4 dance forms above. 6) Coffee Consultation: Donate anything Donate anything for a coffee session to delve into your business problems and viable methods forward. Thank you, to all the people who have helped in so many ways to this space. Believe me, Vinnies uses every cent to help in every way possible.

Winter Sweater Campaign Update Thanks to your generosity, we've been able to clothe 307 new arrivals with warm, dry outfits. That’s 307 people who no longer have to face these cold nights in only the clothes they arrived with. Among them is little Fatima, the 6-month-old we mentioned in our last post. After receiving her first warm outfit—including cozy pink tights—we can imagine the difference it made in keeping her warm through the night. Stories like hers remind us why this work matters. This in progress is only the beginning. While grateful to have made a difference, but our goal is to clothe 2000 new arrivals by Christmas. Each outfit costs just €30, and every donation brings us closer to ensuring no one has to brave the cold without basic warmth. Let’s keep the momentum going. With your help, we can spread warmth to thousands more on Lesvos and Samos. Will you join us in reaching the next milestone? Every euro counts. Help here: https://lnkd.in/gkwFN2tC

Here's 5 fun resident event ideas to host—get to planning! 1. Murder Mystery Dinner: Invite your residents to mingle with one another and team up to solve a mystery! Have them RSVP to show up for the event so you can organize the groups more effectively. 2. Fire Pit Ghost Stories: Gather everyone around and break out the s’mores! Spook everyone out with scary stories. Enhance the scares with sound effects, blankets and some snacks with additional seats. 3. Pet Costume Parade: Furry friends unite! Have residents dress their pets up in their scariest best to show off their fun personalities and parade around the neighborhood! 4. Fall Fête or Charity Event with a DJ: Come together for a cause while making it fun! Encourage your residents to network while enjoying some music and organize a fundraiser such as a canned goods drive, Toys for Tots or raising money to donate to specific organization. 5. Spooky Door Decorating Contest: May the spookiest door win! Have residents join in on the fun with hosting a decoration contest. No rules and anything goes. At HyBridge, work-life balance is extremely important to us.
This Halloween, our team members had fun snapping photos of their pets dressed up in costumes and alongside their favorite decorations! After a tough voting process (how could you pick just one?!), our team chose Bob as the winner of our $250 humane society donation for capturing the “spooky” spirit in their lion costume! 🦁🐾 Thank you to everyone who shared their adorable pet photos. We loved seeing all the creativity and Halloween fun! Stay tuned for more festive contests and activities here at HyBridge! 🧡 Donna M. What Are Unique Holiday Party Activities to Wow 120 Guests? Answers: https://lnkd.in/gDUPK2yU #HolidayPartyIdeas #PartyPlanning #CompanyEvents Hey everyone! 🎉 I’m diving into planning our company’s Halloween and Christmas parties this year and could really use your creativity! We usually get about 120 folks joining in, and while we’ve established some fun routines, I’m on the hunt for fresh and exciting activities to make this year's events truly unforgettable. Here’s a quick rundown of what we’ve done before: Delicious Lunches 🍽️ Employee Charity Donations for raffle tickets Photo Booths for snap-worthy moments 📸 Cookie Decorating (in previous years) 🍪 Costume Contest (only for Halloween) 🎭 In the past, we’ve set up carnival games where people could win raffle tickets, but I’m looking to switch things up and replace that with something new and engaging. Ideally, the activity should span about one hour. Here’s what I’m hoping for: Fun and Engaging - Something that brings out everyone's inner child! 🌟 Low-Effort to Manage - I’d prefer ideas that don’t require a ton of prep. 🙌 Fairly Inexpensive - Let’s keep it budget-friendly! 💰 Could Replace the Ca...

I am not Exempt The amount of people that raise an eyebrow when they see me dressed as “Super Girl” for my promotion of my Kindess Coffee & Cookies (https://lnkd.in/ey5bg77G) is unreal. Like many businesses out there, we are struggling in terms of bringing in enough income and funding and although as a charity, all our income as you will know - Is for good - there is still much more work to be done. I don’t feel I have the right to be considered “exempt” for whatever role needs to fulfilled. I don’t think, just because I founded “Families Like Us ( www.familieslikeus.org.uk) or created the Kindness Brand that it is a good enough excuse, not to do what is required when times are tough or for example when we don’t have enough staff I want to show my team, lead by example, that if something is worth doing then you have to put yourself out there and get the job done. I want to teach my team that no matter what your job title is - we are all a team and we need to continue working as part of a team to ensure we are creating a positive impact at all times So, yes maybe not all CEO’s would be comfortable dressing up Supergirl, running orders, painting, unblocking toilets etc and thats their choice. But I didn’t set up Juniors or the Kindness Brand for it to be managed by anyone else. I didn’t enter the third sector thinking it would be easy. I choose to become a CEO and whatever that takes - it’s a role worth pursuing with my heart and soul. So to the CEO’s who raise their eyebrows at me - you don’t know what your missing! Being involved with every part of your business and team is a honour and I am incredibly lucky #lanarkshire #scotland #glasgow
