So, apparently today is National Cheese Fondue day… it also marks my 8 year anniversary at Acacium Group and I’m not sure which one I’m more excited about 🧀🥳 It certainly doesn’t feel like 8 years ago that I walked into our Liquid Personnel office for the very first time. I was still fairly new in the recruitment industry but I was competitive, determined and ambitious and I knew this was the right place for me to meet my goals. I’m proud of the career I have developed here, but I’ve certainly learned a few key lessons along the way: 🌟 Feedback is a gift - constructive criticism is the best way to identify areas for improvement and growth (it took me a while to not take this so personally) 🌟 Fail fast, learn faster - learning to embrace failure as a learning opportunity is the best way to accelerate your career growth 🌟 Be brave - throw yourself out of your comfort zone and view vulnerability as a strength, not a weakness. Finding the courage to ask for help will permit others to do the same and create an environment of openness and collaboration - you can’t do everything alone! 🌟 LISTEN - as someone who essentially talks for a living, I had to work hard on this. But listening more than you talk improves communication, enhances relationships and increases your knowledge. If you’re not listening, you risk overlooking the brilliant ideas of others and will miss out on opportunities for growth and innovation. If you’re the smartest person in the room, you are in the wrong room!
