This year marks my first Christmas away from the Czech Republic. It will be different – full of new experiences but also a certain emptiness. Suddenly, you miss the little things you’ve always taken for granted. The Christmas Eve fairy tales, playful arguments over the last piece of schnitzel, or simply chatting with family while unwrapping gifts. Moments That Matter This year, I was fortunate to spend the pre-Christmas days with close friends who flew in for a brief visit. And it was exactly what I needed. We spent time together, caught up on life, laughed, and simply enjoyed each other’s company. These moments remind you that even when you’re far from family, you don’t have to feel alone. Christmas in a New Light Anyone who has spent Christmas away from home knows it’s a different experience.
