Whether you’re: ➤Drafting a post, ➤Sending an email, ➤Commenting on a discussion, The ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing is essential for standing out. Writing is not just about framing sentences together, it’s about conveying ideas that resonate with others. For me, the journey to becoming a better writer began with reading. Reading, both non-fiction and fiction, has been one of the most powerful habits I’ve cultivated. From Stephen King’s intricate storytelling to Sophie Kinsella’s light-hearted narratives, diverse genres have helped broaden my perspective and deepen my knowledge. Reading these different styles not only made me more confident but also equipped me with a greater understanding of tone, structure, and voice. If you’re looking to improve your writing, start by reading widely. It doesn’t matter whether it’s business articles or fictional tales, each page helps sharpen your skills. Writing something successful, i.e. something that your audience enjoys, is tough. But as a writer, I try to ensure my content fulfils three criteria. My first responsibility is to: 👓 Be Clear. If nobody gets what I'm saying, then, really, what's the point? The idea here isn't to be prescriptive, it's to provide enough helpful signposts along the way so readers can follow. The keyword here being 'enough'. A very close second, but still second, is to: 💡 Be Interesting. Ultimately, people aren't going to hang around to listen to what I have to say unless I'm pulling them in. How to be interesting? I believe it's by allowing myself to: 📖 Be Sincere. By which I mean the person reading knows that I believe in what I'm saying and it is important to me. How to do these things is a much longer, more sophisticated conversation that may not be best suited to this medium, but it's a good reminder for writers to see if what they're writing hits all (not some, ALL) of these criteria. #writing #tips

Creative writing According to Google it means "Creative writing is a form of artistic expression. It inspires writers to use their imagination to bring bags of personality and flair to their work. It doesn't just focus on more traditional, technical forms of writing, like journalistic and academic styles, but instead displays imagination and invention." And for once it feels like google has actually captured my perspective. So for the past years I've been planning on writing my short story which revolves around my long time favorite characters Amal and Yusuf. Long before I started writing I have been so obsessed with these names that even before I started writing I named my characters. The story revolves around Amal and Yusuf, how they get through to make it together. It is a cliche story but then what makes the difference is that I'm writing it and I'm sure that my perspectives about a lot of things would be different from other stories.
