What do you do right before you go to sleep? In this day and age, I think most of us worry about the day or days ahead, probably checking our phones or computers to see what to expect. We are tethered to these electronic devices because they make our lives "easier." Much of modern technology and infrastructure was developed to make our lives easier, faster, and simpler. Does your life feel easier? Think about ways that we can actually make it easier and simpler. Consider the verses selected: people have had similar anxieties and pressures for all of our existence. Worry and anxiety are biological responses to our desire to survive, but do they make our lives easier? How can we improve? Have faith in God. Trust that the Lord will take care of you. What comes tomorrow is going to come regardless. Detach yourself for a moment from the hustle and bustle of modern society. Take a moment to contemplate what matters to you and what matters to God. Notice birds flying, singing, and eating. God takes care of them; He will take care of you. - David Jacobs This doesn't mean one stops working. We have to keep on hustling. We have to keep on improving ourselves, loving ourselves more, making the world a better living place.

LEAVE ALL WRONG PEOPLE TO LORD ALL MIGHTY; DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THEM: We good humans many a times get terribly worked out when WRONG IS DONE on us. Yes we all GOOD HUMAN BEINGS do get terribly worked out. I too sometimes do. All Past Memories come back in a flash. BUT INSTEAD OF THIS LEAVE ITO GOD ALLMIGHTY. All 3rd grade human beings think they can succeed in life; they will get KUDRAT KA FATKA at some time in life; many a times when they least expect it. I CAN SPEAK VOLUMES ABOUT MANY SUCH THIRD GRADE INDIVIDUALS WHO I MET IN LIFE; BUT I REFUSE TO TALK ABOUT THEM. I HAVE TOTAL FAITH IN GOD; RATHER I WISH TO FOCUS MY ENERGY ON GOOD THINGS IN LIFE. Do remember this that the wrong people who have no conscience if not now may be years later but will surely get punished. I OPENLY ACCEPT I HAVE BEEN AN EMOTIONAL FOOL and have wasted time thinking about many things. BUT GOD’S GRACE I STILL SURVIVED IN A WORLD WHICH UNFORTUNATELY IS FULL OF HORRIBLE PEOPLE. But why to lie; there are still few yes few but some good souls are also there in this world.

In a world that glorifies fleeting pleasures, we find ourselves surrounded by distractions that pull us away from our purpose. If you can muster the strength to quit alcohol, smoking, clubbing, casual talk, and purposeless gatherings—things that society has made almost impossible to resist—you have already won a battle that many are too weak to even recognize. By turning away from these distractions, you take a stand against the forces that seek to derail your destiny and sabotage the legacy you are meant to leave behind. You declare that your life is not for sale to the highest bidder of temporary satisfaction but dedicated to something far greater, far more eternal. But if you find yourself unable to break free from even two of these chains, I urge you to consider carefully where you stand. For the enemy thrives in complacency and delights in seeing us entangled in the very things that weaken our resolve and cloud our vision. When you surrender to these indulgences, you risk more than just your own life—you jeopardize the inheritance of those who come after you, handing over the keys to your legacy into the hands of the very forces that seek to destroy it. Let this be a wake-up call, a moment of deep reflection. Are you living the life God intended, or are you exactly where the devil wants you to be, trapped in a cycle of self-sabotage? Choose today whom you will serve—your fleeting desires or the eternal purpose that God has set before you.

I feel the need to tend to my roots this week! I consider my roots: God, family, creativity, nature, music, deep relationships, and efficiency. The verses from Colossians says to grow our roots down into Jesus. Roots need to be covered so they can collect the nutrients for the rest of the plant. And just like a plant’s roots, we need to be covered with the truth from the Word of God. We will not find what we need from the messages of this world. Jesus said, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again” (John 6:35, NLT). With roots firmly grounded in Him and His truth, we will have all we need to grow. With our roots in Jesus, we can grow and build our lives. We can find our calling from Him and then work to carry it out! I love exploring and understanding what makes me, me, and learning how to better take care of myself, and I'm learning that when we let God build our lives and walk with us, we learn He is faithful. After all, uniqueness is influenced by God, your needs, values, passions, relationships, environment, and experiences. The Holy Spirit reminded me in this season, the importance of taking time for my roots! What are your roots and what importance do you give to them? Building strong relationships with people, creating a supportive environment, actively learning and reflecting, and overcoming obstacles with resilience are all important aspects of self-care for me. In essence, these practices lay the groundwork for stability and positive energy that will support both your own and those around you. What are your roots? How much heed are you paying to them? How do you nurture and tend to your roots so that you can flourish and grow – for you, and those growing around you?

People in recovery and those close to them are often familiar with the buzzword "boundaries" but have little understanding of what they are or how to have them in our lives-much less in a healthy, Christlike way. Here's a little secret: everyone needs boundaries. We must begin with a clear sense of our own identity and purpose, so we can tell the difference between our own responsibilities and those of a person in our life. The only things I can genuinely control are things pertaining to my life, my self... attitudes, actions, values, etc. I need to accept responsibility for self-control in the power of the Spirit of God, and stop trying to control others to suit my preferences! In a similar way, I must refuse to accept the burden of another person's responsibility (or blame for failure) because I know that it is not mine to accept. These boundaries begin with a simple truth- I am responsible for myself before God. A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls. -Prov. 25.28 No self-control, no boundaries... it's that simple. Join us tonight at 7pm, 513 Main St., Schertz 78154 as we discuss this topic. Blessings!

When life is confusing, chaotic, and constantly uncertain, it’s easy to believe we are the ones who hold the responsibility to come up with the solutions. We aren’t sure how to fix the distance in that relationship. We don’t know if we should quit or stay in our job. We can’t see how we will juggle everything on our to-do list. We’re exhausted of the family drama. We strategize and plan and think out every possible solution. We make appointments, attempt conversations and get out our calendars but in all of our attempts, we still feel anxious that it won’t work or we haven’t done enough. Oh friend, those seasons life can feel so crushing. But today we want to remind you of what God’s Word says in Isaiah 26:3, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” God’s Word promises that God has perfect peace for us when we… 1. Keep our mind on Him. 2. Trust He has a way for us as we seek Him. If life feels heavy and you begin to feel your peace being replaced with anxious planning, shift your eyes towards our all-knowing God and ask Him to help you find a way. We believe by faith, He will.
