Why bother with keyboards when Hume lets you run your computer with just your voice? Imagine a world where you can control your computer entirely with your voice—no keyboard required. Hume is making that dream a reality, and it’s about time we embrace this evolution in tech. Voice recognition has come a long way, and Hume is at the forefront, allowing users to navigate their devices with simple commands. This innovation could significantly change how we interact with technology, making it more accessible and intuitive for everyone. Think about it: how often do we find ourselves typing away when we could just speak our thoughts aloud? Whether it’s drafting an email, searching for information, or even just opening applications, Hume’s voice-control capabilities can streamline our digital tasks. It’s not just about convenience; it’s about creating a more natural interaction with our devices. The potential for voice-controlled computing is vast. For those with disabilities or anyone who struggles with traditional input methods, this technology could be a game-changer. It’s exciting to see how Hume is pushing the boundaries of what we thought was possible, making tech more inclusive. However, as we stand on the brink of this transformation, I can’t help but wonder—will we ever fully let go of our keyboards? There’s something inherently satisfying about the tactile feedback of typing. Still, I believe that integrating voice control into our daily tech interactions could lead to a more efficient and enjoyable experience. So, why not give it a try? Hume might just change the way we think about computing forever! Follow for tech and AI updates

Designing for the user experience and product people leading tech companies is a concept that was ignored in the early years of computing and tech development, when companies like Motorola, Nokia, Dell, IBM, and others focused primarily on technology and chips, making what would be described as third-rate products. This changed with the constant obsession from Steve Jobs with user interface and experience. Without this shift, much of the technology developed by Xerox PARC wouldn’t have had the same impact or changed society through innovations like the personal computer, Mac, iPhone, and their software, enabling new possibilities for users. Moving forward with AI, we are repeating the same mistake by focusing on the size and parameters of LLMs instead of user interaction with AI products. Technology has no meaning unless it serves or solves people's needs. Building better tools requires taking the end user into consideration.

Intel Admits AI Decreases Productivity The house of cards is wobbling. Will Lockett Predict Will Lockett · Following Published in Predict · 5 min read · 6 days ago 2,403 56 AI will automate or assist almost every aspect of our lives in the coming years, making our jobs and even personal lives easier and more productive. It’s even meant to be the key to unlocking our next great economic boom and is being lauded by multiple governments as a way the West can counteract the East’s aggressive economic growth. Naturally, it’s no wonder the AI revolution is being so heavily pushed, right? Well, no. In fact, Intel just discovered that AI doesn’t actually improve productivity at all… Though Intel is struggling in the AI infrastructure race against its competitors like Nvidia, it is still pushing AI software. Many of its hardware partners are launching AI PCs, which use AIs like Microsoft’s Copilot to automate tasks on the machine. As such, Intel has a vested interest in these AIs, as it could mean more people will buy their componentry. Unfortunately for Intel, when analysing how much time AI PCs can save people, they didn’t find what they were looking for. This began with a study that looked at how 6,000 people in Germany, France, and the United Kingdom used their PCs and found that people lose, on average, 15 hours a week on “digital chores” like writing emails, sorting calendars, transcribing meetings, managing files, and… Read this https://lnkd.in/dthkvzfT
