A little late to the party but Slush 2024 is a wrap! I’m amazed to see what the Slush team and volunteers pulled off this year, the best Slush to date! The energy and dedication these students and recent graduates bring to making the Slush mission a reality, to create and help founders change the world, is genuinely inspiring. Bringing together the largest gathering of founders and investors (€4T in AUM) to Helsinki during the best time of the year (if you love the cold and darkness, and, well, slush) is no small feat. Some personal highlights for me: 1. Hosting the Investor Day stage alongside Vilma Juusonen. Shout out to Jomi Karske, Aki Laiho, and the rest of the volunteers for putting together something truly special. 2. Hosting a few Speaker Q&As with speakers like Bernt Børnich (Founder and CEO of 1X), Marc Lamik (CPTO of Moonfare), Ruth Barnett (Founder and MD at Grit & Ink), Eliza Dabney (CMO at Plural), and Gaëtan G. (Executive in Residence at Singular. It was amazing to see founders receive no BS advice on a wide range of topics. Thanks to Rosanna Kataja for the opportunity. 3. Chatting with a few Slush Online users to see how we can improve their experience. Great to meet in person after virtually connecting for so long.
