Exciting Changes Ahead for B Lab! 🚀🌍 Citizens and institutions expect more from business. As the world around us is evolving rapidly, so is the global B Corp movement. To address today's most pressing societal and environmental challenges, we're embarking on the biggest transformation in our 17-year history. At B Lab, we are advancing our standards to reflect the leadership role B Corps play worldwide. While this change can be inspiring, we understand it also comes with challenges. Some B Corps are already leading the way, while others need more time to prepare. We're committed to making this transition as smooth as possible by upskilling the B Corp community and all our stakeholders step-by-step. 💪 With the recent consultation on our new standards concluding in March 2024, we've already reviewed over 16,000 pieces of the feedback, and we'll be sharing insights soon. Our goal is to support companies through this transition and equip them to tackle today’s challenges. Stay tuned as we continue this journey toward a more inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy!

We are celebrating a major milestone: Over 100 certified B Corps in Denmark! 🎉 In 2015, the first Danish B Corp was certified, and now there are more than 100 across the country. This movement comprises over 100 pioneering companies with a combined turnover of more than $2 billion and over 3,000 employees. These progressive leaders come from all business sectors and range in size and age—some are newly founded, while others boast over 100 years of history, with ownership structures including founders, families, venture capital, and equity firms. Despite their differences, they all share a common quest: to change the role of business in society. B Lab Nordics These companies work with responsibility not out of compliance or due to EU legislation, but because they genuinely desire to drive progressive societal change and leverage their business models to create positive impact. They refuse to maximize profit at the expense of people and the planet, choosing instead to balance the interests of all stakeholders in their decision-making processes. The most ambitious among them use their businesses to restore and regenerate society and the planet, slowly but surely shifting towards an economic system that is inclusive, equitable, and regenerative. We are incredibly proud of this thriving community that stands together to redefine success in business. Over the next few weeks, we will be celebrating by inviting a dozen of these pioneers to share what the B Corp certification means to them. Check out the first story here from Maria Fryd Wehler and Henrik Holm of Wehlers, the longest certified Danish B Corp 👏 Wehlers is dedicated to creating sustainable furniture without compromising on design or quality. They are passionate about using circular economy principles to ensure their products leave a minimal environmental footprint. Wehlers embodies the essence of what it means to be a B Corp - balancing profit with purpose and showing that great design can also be good for the planet.

As a contributor to the recent Lean In report, 'The State of Latinas in Corporate America,' I am proud to have contributed to amplifying Latina voices and lived experiences with the world. However, I'll be honest, the data displayed in the report is hard to process now and when I first read it during my collaboration with the Lean In team. However, I know it is necessary for the world to see the inequities we, as Latinas, face in the workplace and for Latinas to get ready—ready to stand hand in hand, sin envidia, and unite together as one voice. I am ready to do this. Are You???? My Comadres and I are hosting an exclusive Zoom meeting to share our thoughts on this report. Also, we gather together to create a space for these conversations, and I invite you to join me. You deserve time in your day to share and create comunidad. You deserve to voice your opinion about these very important topics. You deserve to take time in your day to learn more about yourself and others. You deserve the world. I hope to see you there. Please share your thoughts on the report with me below. June 28th from 11:00 am - 11:45 am MST Register here: https://lnkd.in/gg-PbG2B Read the report and share your thoughts below https://lnkd.in/g-K2Ntu5 #LatinasInLeadership #CorporateEquity #DiversityAndInclusion #WorkplaceEquality #CareerAdvancement #PayGap #LeanIn #WomenInTheWorkplace #ElPuenteInstitute #latinas #LeanInLatinas #Latinaleaders

🌍 MOI Global Annual Dinner in Madrid 🇪🇸 On September 12th, I co-hosted the MOI Global annual #dinner in #Madrid with my friend Alirio from Invexcel. This event is reserved for those of us who not only share a passion for #ValueInvesting but also have a serious and professional approach to managing funds and portfolios. 🔑 At MOI Global, the value lies not only in the exclusivity of being part of this group, but in the open and honest exchange of ideas. Every conversation goes beyond theory, enriched by the real-world experiences of each member. 🏃♂️ "Investing isn’t a sprint, it’s a lifelong journey." We learn continuously, sharing both successes and mistakes, with the goal of improving our decisions. We all manage capital for our investors and for ourselves, and this exchange enriches us. 👥 The dinner is just the beginning: we continue to build a committed #community, where discussions don’t end that night but extend over time. Here, relationships are not only formed on a professional level, but also on a personal one, creating bonds that go beyond the realm of investing. We support each other and grow together, both as investors and as individuals. 🍽️ We enjoyed the evening in an exceptional gastronomic setting, but the most important part was the opportunity to share with colleagues who, like me, are always looking for ways to add value. Thanks to everyone who participated and shared their experiences: Pedro Gutiérrez, Francisco Lopez, Carlos Küster, Eugenio Saldana, Javier López, Alirio Sendrea, CFA. 👌 Special thanks to Ezra Crangle and John Mihaljevic for your support as well. See you at the next edition! #investmentcommunity #longterminvesting #lifelonglearner #givers #addingvalue #richconversations #longtermmindset

On October 22nd and 23rd, I had the opportunity to attend the Forward Summit West. This event was a valuable experience, challenging my understanding of allyship and providing insight into what it truly means to stand alongside Indigenous communities—not just as a distant supporter, but as a genuine partner through every challenge and achievement. A few takeaways from the summit that resonated deeply: Allyship is about action: Being an ally isn’t about simply offering encouragement from the sidelines; it’s a call to engage meaningfully and take tangible steps that demonstrate commitment. Engagement at the grassroots level: Corporate partnerships with Indigenous communities shouldn’t only take place at the executive level. These connections are most impactful when built across every level within both the organization and the community. Unlearning to relearn: There’s a need to unlearn conventional approaches to negotiation and embrace reciprocity, where alignment of mutual interests serves as the foundation of trust. It also involves taking the time to look in the mirror and recognize our own unconscious biases, which is essential to fostering positive corporate-Indigenous relations. I walked away with a clearer understanding of the path forward—one that’s about listening, learning, and striving to create lasting change. Looking forward to learning even more in the years to come. #ForwardSummitVancouver #DGIA
