5 steps to creating a super engaging video... As a creator, the last thing you want to do is put out bland, regular, and unengaging videos. It costs you more than you can imagine. So let's talk about how to avoid this mistake and create highly interactive and attending grabbihg vidoes in 5 steps ✨️ Cut out bad takes Remove stuttering, repetition, filler words, moment of silence or inactivity, etc ✨️ Use music This should be carefully selected, and remember to keep the volume as low as possible. ✨️ Add B-rolls These include video effects (images or videos) that you can chip into your video to enhance engagement and further explain your message. ✨️ Cut your video into shorter clips and add transitions between them. Do this at the point of important message or where you end a point and start another. ✨️ Use sound effects Those subtle sounds at salient points in your videos do a good job of keeping your viewers engaged. This is what takes my reels to millions. I have been creating video content for over a year and I have realised that you don’t always need the best equipment and setup. Even the smallest techniques and the right way to make the most of every resource can actually make a huge difference. These are what I focus on while creating my videos: → Lighting is everything. I’ve found that a well-lit video immediately grabs attention. Natural light can be your best friend but when I film indoors, I use lights to create an effect that brings out clarity and warmth in the video. → Nothing affects a video more than a cluttered or distracting background. I go for a blank wall or an intentional setup that relates to the content. This keeps the focus on the message, helping viewers engage better. → Clear audio makes a huge difference in keeping viewers engaged, so I invested in a microphone early on. I also ensure to minimize background noise and position the mic close enough for crisp sound, which keeps the content easy to follow. → Over-editing can distract from the main message, so I stick with basics like trimming awkward pauses and adding relevant background images. Simple editing brings focus to the content, without making it overproduced. It is not that difficult to create videos even without good equipment. Just plan your idea well and focus on getting the details right. The audience today likes raw content >> highly produced footage.
