Hey CEPP Partners 🔈 November may be over, but keeping our critical infrastructure strong and resilient is always in season! We are proud to share this message from CISA: 𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐑𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐇 November is designated Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience Month: Resolve to be Resilient! This annual effort focuses on educating and engaging all levels of government, infrastructure owners and operators, and the American public about the vital role critical infrastructure plays in the nation’s well-being and why it is important to strengthen critical infrastructure security and resilience. As a nation, we are seeing continued cyber and physical threats to critical infrastructure Americans rely on every day. For example, we have seen extended, record-breaking heat and destructive weather and fire events, rapid advances in technology that enable novel cybersecurity risks, and other emerging risks. The safety and security of the nation depends on the ability of critical infrastructure owners and operators to prepare for and adapt to changing conditions and to withstand and recover rapidly from disruptions. We must accept that it’s a whole of community responsibility to prepare and secure the nation’s critical infrastructure and protect the vital services it provides, so when something does happen, we are better able to respond to and recover from any impacts. We can do this by building resilience into our preparedness planning year around by: •Understanding the threat landscape and assessing risks; •Creating and exercising actionable plans; and •Continually adapting and improving based on lessons learned. We encourage you to visit CISA’s Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience Month webpage for more information, resources, and toolkit ⬇️

Recently, The White House, in collaboration with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and National Security Council, The White House, issued an urgent call to state governors to secure water and wastewater systems from active cybersecurity threats to critical infrastructure in the United States. Gregory Rudy, vice president and general manager of C2I&E for Ultra I&C puts it succinctly: "Security is not a luxury—it's an expectation." But achieving this requires reevaluation of cybersecurity that secures the operational technology that underpins our utility networks. What technologies and strategies can utility providers employ to avoid interruption of critical services and prevent cyberattacks? And most importantly, how can reliability and trust be preserved in the face of evolving threats? Dive deeper and explore actionable insights in our latest blog post: https://lnkd.in/eeBZM4FN #criticalinfrastructure #cybersecurity #infrastructuresecurity #cyberresilience #securenetworks #publicsafety #cyberdefense #cyberattack #energysecurity #nationalsecurity #cyberthreatprevention #infrastructureinnovation #resilientinfrastructure #digitaldefense #defensetechnology #defenseindustry
