There are myriads of options out there, and one of the aspects that encompasses the most variance is motor options. How Important Is Vent Location For Central Air? The location of supply and return ducts is essential for the proper flow of conditioned air into your living spaces and the efficient return of air to your air conditioner. Supply vents push conditioned air into living spaces. When supply vents are installed in out-of-the-way areas, such as a closet or cabinet, for aesthetic design purposes, the air coming out of these vents cannot properly reach the room, leading to warm rooms or rooms with inconsistent temperatures.
