The playing style of Algeria often values flair, creativity, and individual skill. This emphasis on creativity encourages players to express themselves on the field, try new moves, and take risks, which can lead to more skillful and inventive play. I see the desert foxes holding onto and possessing the ball more. What Our boys need to do is carry on from friday's performance and look out for the 12th man to down Algeria . Namboole must scream to rally our own troops.A home game and a home crowd, any opponent can fall here . Prediction: The last time the desert foxes visited Kampala,in 1998 ,Hassan Mubiru's brace downed Algeria. This time,we dont have that calibre of an attacker, who can easily bully defenders, but then again, our boys have some silky play in them and if they can pick out Fahad Bayo quicky and perfectly,we could have something to cheer. But ,wait a second. The Desert Foxes are hungry, after having lost at home on Friday, they are going to give it a fight . 1-1.

🎙 | Abdullah Shah: "The main issue in Pakistan is the lack of a proper league. For the past three years, our coaches have emphasized that the national team cannot be formed through three-day try outs. We need consistent league competitions. Our players, like Easah Suliman and others, play in leagues abroad and return when needed. The absence of a league means fewer opportunities for players to stay in touch with the national team." “In Afghanistan, I played 11 competitive matches in a month, which kept us in good form. Regular competition ensures that those performing well are naturally considered for the national team. There have been attempts to start a league in Pakistan, and we, as players, are supportive of any initiative. We need professional leagues and competitive matches weekly for three or four months." WHICH WAY NIGERIA Testing the elastic limit of the Nigerian federation seems to be the pass time of many Nigerians. Nigerian politicians in a bid to grab power, hold on to power or remain politically relevant will always create a scenario that will make Nigeria look like a union about to dismember. In each instance of heating up the polity, Nigerian politicians waited like vultures to profit from the corpses of the ordinary Nigerians who become the cannon fodder in the violence that is caused by their fiery rhetorics, however, the politicians have been lucky. Nigeria never unraveled. Today NNPCL and Dangote are staging WWE and RAW and ordinary Nigerians are bearing the high cost of fuel caused by their political grandstanding. Which way Nigeria?

CAF PUNISHES LIBYA Libya is by no means a strong footballing nation. They are the worst football team in North Africa. Their current ranking is 122 in the world, according to FIFA.com. But they try to win at all costs. Because of this, they like to resort to various ploys and tactics to win their matches. Some of them include refusing to allow their opponents to train, turning off the lights during training (if they can find a way to train), attacking the opponent's team bus, not providing security, not providing transportation, using lasers, stoning the goalkeeper with firecrackers, etc. Locking the super eagles of Nigeria inside an abandoned airport for more than 15 hours? That has to be the climax. The eagles had to walk away from the encounter after such ill-treatment. After much deliberation, CAF has decided to fine Libya $50,000 for breaching regulations. CAF has also decided to award 3 goals and 3 points to Nigeria. Let me use this opportunity to commend CAF for doing the right thing (something they rarely do). Although I think the penalty should be much harsher, but it's a good start. Let me also commend Fabrizio Romano for using his incredible brand to create global awareness about the "hostage" situation the super eagles found themselves in, in Libya. #FIFA, #CAF, #AfricanFootball, #AFCONQualifiers, #PatriceMotsepe, #NFF, #SuperEagles, #FabrizioRomano, #WilliamTroostEkong

We have to be consistent in how we think and act.
The logic behind banning Russia but not Israel from the Olympics is not clear. This is not a trivial matter, because these types of bans can put pressure to change behavior. How many Palestinian athletes were killed or maimed by Israel in Gaza? Not to mention occupation and apartheid. The International Olympic Committee – IOC is not doing a good job as an agent for humanity. #olympics #gaza

"Every morning before training, we have a short moment of silence - and then each of us gives 3 claps. This is to indicate that we're turning on and placing everything else aside" - Salah Nemer, captain of the Sudanese football team. Not even Civil War could keep them from the AFCON.
