SITS Sector Deal Numbers Down in 2023 Research for our recent report has shown that software and IT services sector deal numbers in 2023 were down around 20% compared to 2022. While that is a significant drop, it does follow some spectacular deal making post-Covid. Looking further back we can see that current transaction volumes are actually comparable with pre-2019 peaks.
