VisIR measures the temperature of asphalt as it moves out from the back of the paver screed. Monitoring thermal segregation is essential to avoid areas of poor compaction and to increase road smoothness!
Interesting to see the difference in thermal segregation between the USA and the UK as captured by the Highway Data Systems VisIR thermal imaging system. The US asphalt industry benefits from much larger road closures and all material is typically fed into pavers via material transfer vehicles (MTVs) which mix and heat the asphalt before it's tipped into the hopper. It's probably unsurprising that thermal segregation is much better over there than over here. Maybe it's not reasonable to expect the same thermal segregation outputs in the UK, but we definitely won't improve it unless we measure it! #asphalt #highways #ThermalImagery #AutomatedQualityAssurance

ATLAS TPMS - Dynamic monitoring of wheel installation is the best way to prevent wheel loss. Continuous real-time monitoring of any wheel for the potential of a loosening nut is immediately reported to the driver and fleet manager. It is worth noting that a wheel never loosens or detaches from a stationary vehicle! Current solutions rely on a physical inspection and therefore do not address the fundamental problem of a loss of wheel during motion. Wheels are monitored even if the vehicle (e.g. trailer) is unpowered. In addition monitoring rim temperatures will highlight any potential hub/brake temperature issues. 🌐 https://lnkd.in/ewjQWC67 Video Credit : YouTube hashtag #tpms #atlas #tyre #roadsafety

Parking lot ventilation is especially important in closed parking lots and especially underground parking lots. On the one hand, the accumulation of carbon monoxide produced by working cars, and on the other hand, the smoke caused by car fires in emergency situations, are discharged by the ventilation system. In the following simulation, fire and smoke produced in a car fire are simulated by FDS software with the help of CFD. FDS is one of the most reliable CFD software in the field of parking lot ventilation, which is capable of simulating turbulent flows using LES turbulence models. #CFD #Fire #Smoke #FDS #Parking #LES #Ventilation

One of the key benefits of the torsion-flex hitch by GEN-Y HITCH is its ability to provide a smoother towing experience. The torsion-flex technology helps to absorb road shock and vibrations, reducing the transfer of these forces to the tow vehicle and trailer. This results in a more comfortable and stable towing experience for the driver and passengers. Additionally, the torsion-flex system helps to improve overall control and handling of the tow vehicle and trailer, especially in challenging road conditions or during sudden maneuvers. This can enhance safety on the road and reduce the risk of accidents or loss of control. Furthermore, the torsion-flex system by GenY Hitch is designed to be durable and long-lasting, providing reliable performance over time. This can help to reduce maintenance and replacement costs associated with towing equipment. Overall, the torsion-flex system by GenY Hitch offers improved towing comfort, stability, control, and durability, making it a valuable investment for anyone who frequently tows trailers or heavy loads. #genyhitch #towing #torsionflex
