So I just heard some exciting news in the commercial real estate space. Blackstone is set to acquire Apartment Income REIT Corp in a 10 billion dollar deal. This is an Important shift in the market signaling potential opportunities in the commercial space. Looks like investors are ready to get back in the game after a brutal time in commercial real estate. Blackstone is a main player in real estate and always strategically positioning themselves to capitalize on the market dynamics, especially in hotspots like Miami, Los Angeles, Boston, and D.C. The venture brings together Columbia Threadneedle's extensive UK real estate expertise, valued at over €10.2bn (£9bn), with Aegon UK's strategic partnership. 📝 NewRiver REIT plc REIT acquires Ellandi to create a business with over £2 billion in AUM, as Allan Lockhart, CEO at NewRiver, looks to expand their capital partnerships business growth. Growing its capital partnership business, the real estate investment trust paid £5m with a potential additional £4m to acquire the asset manager, which is currently working on Blackpool town centre’s regeneration and the Strand Shopping Centre in Bootle. Ellandi co-founders and owners Morgan Garfield and Mark Robinson are being kept on as part of the deal. 🎉Ten years ago, we didn’t exactly start BlackPeak Capital in a garage, but probably as close as you can get in the private equity world! 🤝With the backing of the European Investment Fund (EIF) under the JEREMIE program, our founding team — Rossen Ivanov, Ivailo Gospodinov, Kiril Ivanov, and Angel Stefanov — launched BlackPeak with just EUR 10 million and an investment window of only 1 year and 4 months. As a co-investment fund, every deal required us to find a partner, which meant the first year was a whirlwind — seven three-party deals in just 12 months! 🎯From the beginning, our focus was clear: support outstanding entrepreneurs in our region who had already built strong businesses, whether locally or globally. These are the visionaries unafraid to aim high and “jump higher than themselves,” as one of them said. They had achieved a lot with very little, and were ready to take the next big leap. ✨ The past nine years have been just as eventful.
