Two key takeaways: 1) Fawn has an incredible background story. 2) If you are a whiskey lover and haven't tried Uncle Nearest yet, you're missing out! 🥇 The values celebrated at this year’s Olympics—excellence, respect, and friendship—are what we also have seen guiding athletes like now-retired Michael Phelps, who devoted an average of five to six hours a day in the pool and won 28 gold medals over his career. 💪 These values, strengthened by a strong message of unity, extend beyond sport and have valuable applications in marketing. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eu-9QTW4 PS. What I've learnt from judging awards Recently, I chaired judging the Asia Pacific Stevie Awards in a couple of categories, and here's my takeaways: ⭐ Proof is key: Surprisingly, many entrants didn't provide attachments to back up their claims. Adding evidence strengthens your case and boosts credibility. ⭐ Show me the money: Whether it's percentage increases or actual dollar figures, seeing the growth adds a whole new level of clarity to your success story. ⭐ Answer the question: If asked about the innovation behind a strategy, it's crucial to be crystal clear about what sets it apart. Don't beat around the bush, highlight exactly what makes your approach unique and innovative. ⭐ Keep it simple: Don't drown your entry with unnecessary jargon or repeat yourself. Bullet points are your friend - make it easy to understand and engage with your message. ⭐ Attention-grabbing title: Give your entry a title that demands attention, whether catchy or a thought-provoking question. Make sure it hooks your audience right off the bat. ⭐ By the way, did you know China's big into art exhibitions? Their mall culture is next level, with tons of captivating displays—it's a whole scene. Have you judged awards or entered any? #steviesawards

You win some, you lose some. Everybody who plays games knows that. Admittedly, we tend to quote this phrase more often after a loss. But guess what? ***Wise Guys Events won the Bernie DeKoven Big Fun Award*** If you're not familiar with Bernie - friends called him Blue - and his work, you are in for a real treat. Bernie was an influential game designer, scholar, and author in the 20th century (ha). He was instrumental in the design of many games and activities you know, even if you aren't otherwise familiar with this field. Ever heard of Ultimate Frisbee? The parachute game from elementary school P.E.? If you answered yes, you know Bernie's legacy. Before his death, Bernie worked in partnership with IndieCade, the International Festival of Independent Games, to create an award in his name to support and promote the longevity of his life's work: silly monkey business. And this year, IndieCade adjudicators honored Wise Guys Events by awarding unto us the Bernie DeKoven Big Fun Award. Head Honcho Myles Nye will be present in LA to accept the award, to participate in IndieCade Night Games, and to join a Creators' Retreat. If you're in downtown LA on Friday or Saturday night, stop by to say hello. And join in the fun! It's what Bernie would have done.
Big Fun! Yes! It's @wiseguysevents winning our Bernie DeKoven Big Fun award!
