My journey with the concept of My Play Type initially stemmed from a personal quest to understand why each of my young children approached play differently. 'They’re just different' didn’t satisfy my curiosity, so I delved into play research, consulted psychologists, and connected with personality researchers to really understand the integration of these areas. Through this journey, I began crafting insights and tools to support parents like me. Since then, MPT has evolved into something much greater. It's now a mission dedicated to unlocking team potential, helping teams discover where they are at their best! This Mother’s Day, I'm excited to share access to a program, How to Keep Kids Playing Longer, I developed awhile ago, but shelved as our focus shifted towards aiding teams. During the pandemic, this knowledge saved me and helped many other organizations as I shared it more broadly back then. While our own kids have grown, the importance of understanding where they play at their best remains invaluable! (https://lnkd.in/gBKdDgTi) Moreover, these insights extend beyond childhood and apply to adults as well! If you're curious about Play Types for adults, tune into my latest podcast with Adam Markel: https://lnkd.in/g8_Mukxd And if you're eager to uncover your OWN Play Type, where you are at your best, take our Play Type assessment today! https://lnkd.in/gyitCsR8 #happymothersday #growth #play

What does it truly take to create a safe, inclusive space for children with diverse needs? In this heartfelt conversation, I had the privilege of speaking with Sharmila Jois Vellal, Founder/Director of Anantha Academy For Special Education with over two decades of experience in special education. Sharmila’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. From her decision to leave mainstream education to founding a space where children can thrive at their own pace, she opens up about the challenges, triumphs, and lessons she’s learned along the way. In this episode, we dive deep into: ✨ What it means to redefine "normal" in education. ✨ The importance of building trust between educators, children, and parents. ✨ Practical advice for families navigating a new diagnosis. ✨ The power of empathy and resilience in supporting neurodiverse children. Sharmila’s insights are a powerful reminder of how small changes in attitude and approach can create meaningful impact—not just in education but in society as a whole. If you’re a parent, teacher, or advocate for inclusion, I guarantee you’ll walk away from this conversation feeling inspired and better equipped to support children with diverse needs. 🎧 Watch on Spotify: https://lnkd.in/gZBcr8T4 📺 Watch on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/gNvXVRY9 💬 Let me know your thoughts or share your takeaways in the comments! #Podcast #Inclusion #SpecialEducation #Neurodiversity #Parenting #Empathy

It’s 4 PM on a Monday, and Kiyu is already excited. Why? Because it’s time for her favorite mother-toddler session at Champions Studio. For Divya Kedia, a busy mom, this isn’t just about activities—it’s about creating memories. - Mondays are for arts & crafts - Wednesdays, it’s all about fitness - Thursdays, music takes center stage - Fridays, we dive into storytelling - And on weekends? Swim time! Divya doesn’t just bring Kiyu once. She comes 5 times a week. Why? “It’s the joy on Kiyu’s face. The activities keep her engaged, and the teachers? Patient, friendly, and so passionate about kids.” 🏆 That’s what Champions Studio is all about. 🏆 It’s not just a club—it’s where kids learn, play, and grow together. And parents like Divya trust us to keep their little ones engaged, happy, and screen-free. We’ve become her one-stop solution for balancing work and parenthood. So if you're looking for a place where your child can thrive and you're done worrying about screen time, maybe it’s time to join the Champions Family. Because here, we’re not just reducing screen time. We’re building brighter futures - one activity at a time. #parenting #motherhood
