Last week, we had the privilege of sponsoring a Tiny Hero Foundation fundraiser event in NYC, honoring the legacy of FDNY Firefighter Anthony Caliendo. It was a heartfelt gathering, celebrating his selfless service and the enduring spirit of first responders everywhere. Our gratitude to the Tiny Hero Foundation for their incredible work, and to the brave men and women who put their lives on the line to keep us safe. Together, we honor their legacy and build a stronger, more resilient future. #TinyHeroFoundation #FDNY #FirstResponders #KussmaulElectronics #HonoringHeroes

Free (Girls Just Wanna Have Funds Tshirts) to the first 5 early bird donors 11/17. Click the link in the Bio to look for the Give Miami Day logo! Over Twelve years ago we lost our 10-month-old son to gun violence in 2008. In 2011 we started our Non-profit Derrick Danzel Days II Corporation named after our son. Our mission was to create something that would impact millions of people. We didn’t want his death to be just another statistic. We specialize in community outreach, business consulting & gun violence awareness. When I think about the word success. Success is simply something you’ve succeeded in accomplishing. Rather big or small. There’s really no criteria for success but rather doing what you said you would. Being consistent and dedicated to your mission. Success is feeling complete and satisfied with the steps you’ve taken to achieve a personal goal. #GiveMiamiDay2024 #DerrickDanzelDaysIICorporation #EarlyBird #BossUpVisualConference2025 GiveMiamiDay.org/ddd2c

Stress reduction, restraint and seclusion I am delighted to partner the Alliance agaisnt Seclusion and Restraint for this web conference. It is an opportunity to understand in an empathic manner the approach to stress management and stress reduction. I will be be speaking about how we can reduce and eliminate restraint by creating arousal regulation and co regulation which is the cornerstone of the low arousal approach.Critical to this is the double empathy approach where we change our behaviour in the first instance. All of the key contributors will focus on reducing unpredictability and chaos for the people we support. #mentalhealth #restraint #seclusion #lowarousal #wellbeing #trauma #schools #autism #adhd
We are delighted to be partnering with the Alliance Against Seclusion and Restraint for this event, an organisation whose work in the US campaigning against restrictive practices is inspirational and impactful. The Alliance Against Seclusion and Restraint (AASR) is a nonprofit organisation with a community of over 30,000 parents, self-advocates, teachers, professionals, and others working together to influence change in supporting children whose behaviors are often misunderstood. A percentage of your ticket cost will go towards supporting the Alliance Against Seclusion and Restraint in their work. Secure your place here: https://lnkd.in/ea985PKD.

🚨 Exciting News! 🚨 I’m thrilled to announce the launch of the Can’t Win Victory Fund (CWVF), a bold new initiative I’ve co-founded with three other badass women who are just as tired of gerrymandering as I am. Together, we’re tackling one of the most corrosive threats to democracy head-on: unfair maps that rob voters of their voices. At CWVF, we believe the solution is simple (though not easy): unf*ck the maps. Here’s how we’re making it happen: 1️⃣ Targeting gerrymandered states: We’ll identify the path to fair maps and put every dollar we raise into fighting those battles. 2️⃣ Elevating our Can't Win "cant-idates" in unwinnable districts: By supporting campaigns in heavily gerrymandered areas, we can raise awareness and make noise about the devastating impact of rigged maps. 3️⃣ Keeping it real, and keeping it fun: We’re not just here to fight for democracy — we’re here to build community, amplify marginalized voices, and have a good time doing it. Want to help us raise some hell? 🌟 Donate: Every dollar makes a difference. 🌟 Share: Spread the word about CWVF. 🌟 Grab some fun merch: Because democracy looks good on you. Get in loser, we have big plans. If you’re as fired up as we are — or have a billionaire buddy who’d love to make a difference — let’s talk. Together, we can take on this fight for fair maps and leave gerrymandering where it belongs: in the trash heap of history. Let’s do this. https://lnkd.in/eSxgxD94 #CantWinVictoryFund #UnfuckTheMaps #DemocracyMatters #GerrymanderedAF Kate Compton Barr
