In an era where disengagement at work is not just a personal issue but a global economic crisis, we must pause and ponder: Are we just filling seats, or are we truly fulfilling our potential? According to the Gallup State of the Global Workplace 2023 Report, 77% of employed individuals are disengaged, draining nearly $9 trillion annually from the global economy. Why does this matter to you and me? Because disengagement at work means disengagement at life. It's about the silent dissatisfaction that creeps into our lives, making us question our purpose and the impact of our daily grind. I urge you to look beyond the paycheck and job title. It's time to ask the hard questions: Does my work inspire me? Does my organization champion a cause greater than its bottom line? Is there a shared vision that makes me jump out of bed every morning? Leaders and organizations must evolve into Houses of Noble Purpose. Let's evolve and foster an environment where creativity and well-being flourish, where employees engage authentically with their work, imbued with a sense of noble purpose and contribution to something greater than themselves. 🌟 What role does noble purpose play in your journey? How can we collectively nurture a culture of authentic engagement in our workplaces? I invite you to dive into this conversation and explore how we can turn the tide of disengagement together. Build stronger teams 🤝. Stay committed to the organization for the long term ⏳. But what does it take to ensure employees feel genuinely appreciated? Blending Personal Values with Professional Life: A New Workplace Reality In today's world, the lines between our personal values and professional lives are increasingly blurring. I’ve been noticing a growing trend in the conversations I’m having: more and more people are bringing up the issue of toxicity in the workplace. It’s become clear that the times have changed. Nowadays, people are willing to take a lower salary and even switch jobs more easily if it means finding a healthier work environment. We’re in an era where employees prioritize feeling valued and respected within their companies. It's no longer just about the paycheck—it's about being part of a culture that acknowledges their contributions and supports their well-being. This shift highlights the importance of fostering a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace. As leaders and colleagues, it's our responsibility to create environments where everyone feels their importance and worth. Let’s work towards building workplaces that not only attract top talent but also retain them by showing genuine appreciation and care. #WorkplaceCulture #EmployeeWellbeing #Leadership #InclusiveWorkplace #EmployeeEngagement

🌟 The Power of Appreciation in the Workplace 🌟 In the dynamics of employee-employer relationships, appreciation is more than a "nice-to-have." It’s a vital component of a thriving work environment. 💼 Compensation is, of course, essential and should reflect capability and effort. But verbal acknowledgment—a simple "thank you," a word of encouragement—is equally valuable. It speaks to an employee’s emotional commitment and the often-overlooked human element of motivation. 🚫 Striving for a culture of perfection without empathy can dilute teamwork. When trust is built, it isn’t just through technical skill but through the genuine connections we foster. 🧠🫀 Both heart and mind work in tandem in any role. While practicality is the anchor of performance, an emotional foundation solidifies loyalty and resilience. Appreciate beyond results—value the individuals who make them happen. True growth happens in workplaces where mutual respect, empathy, and recognition lead the way. #WorkplaceCulture #EmployeeAppreciation #Leadership #TeamBuilding #CorporateTraining #EffectiveCommunication #GrowthMindset

According to Gallup’s 2024 State of the Global Workplace report, 62% of global employees aren’t engaged at work. They’re doing the bare minimum required for their jobs. And they’re rejecting the culture of working themselves to the bone to get ahead ✊ This trend has widely become known as ‘quiet quitting’, a term that comes loaded with a host of negative connotations that sometimes paint a younger generation of worker as: 👉 Lazy 👉 Ungrateful 👉 Disengaged But really, it’s a natural reaction to toxic work environments and ineffective leadership. Bad work cultures breed disillusioned employees. But it often feels impossible for leaders to tackle this effectively if they themselves are being spread so thin. So what are we doing to address this? And how can we inspire change - not just in the quiet quitters, but in the foundations that shape these cultures? The answer lies in breaking the trend of short-term fixes; and uncovering the challenges that keep the wheel of high pressure, poor management and lack of engagement turning. The good news is that Gains can help with that. DM me to find out more. #QuietQuitting #Leadership #WorkCulture

Always Value: Coming from a place that became unbearably toxic, it's no surprise why people leave jobs within just 6 months. Recruiters often ask, "Why are you leaving so soon?"but what's really going through the candidate's mind is, "It's been 6 months of toxicity, broken promises, over-expectation, and feeling undervalued." The truth is, when the work culture is positive and employees feel appreciated, they stay for years. But when appreciation fades, motivation follows. Employees start asking themselves, "Is my hard work truly valued here?" Always value your hardworking employees, and more importantly, foster a culture where appreciation and recognition are consistent. It all starts with a shift in attitude towards acknowledging the contributions of your people. #WorkCulture #EmployeeValue #ToxicWorkplace #AppreciationMatters #Leadership #CareerGrowth

The proof that Relationships precede Results strikes again! According to the Center for Talent Innovation, when we feel a sense of belonging at work, we are more productive, motivated, engaged and 3.5 times more likely to contribute to our fullest potential. Moreover, 39% of respondents (across all ages) feel the greatest sense of belonging not when they are invited to fancy meetings or get copied on senior leadership's emails, but when their colleagues check in with them both personally and professionally. The key to making our checkins meaningful for our colleagues and teams is sincerity, consistency, vulnerability (even if only slightly lowering the waterlines of our "icebergs") and open-mindedness. In other words, we seek to truly connect, not to tick a box. Any of us can feel the difference in a heartbeat. More than three times greater impact (and, I can imagine, fulfillment) "just" by injecting more meaningful interactions in our workdays... it's a total win-win! How could it get any better than that? #MakingADifference #MeaningAtWork #TopTeams
