🧺 What is a dirty word we don't talk enough about? 🧺 . . . That word is... Laundry. How often do you do laundry? How do you feel about doing laundry? This is me with my laundry for a family of 5 pax. I do laundry 3 times a week. Sometimes 4 times a week, especially when I wash the sheets and duvet. Laundry is my responsibility in the house. Laundry is not just laundry. It involves... 💧 Consolidating dirty clothes; 💧 Washing in the machine and hand washing some; 💧 Hanging to dry and keeping when dry; 💧 Folding and sorting; 💧 Putting them back where they came from; 💧 Repeat process. Laundry takes up to 8 hours of my week. What do I get out of laundry? 👕 Clean and fresh clothes; 👕 Therapeutic time on my own as I spend that 30mins to hang the laundry; 👕 Zen time folding clothes. What I do not like about laundry? ❎️ Putting clean clothes back in the drawers/cupboards where they came from. ❎️ When my mental wellbeing is compromised especially so when the dirty laundry pile and/or the clean laundry to-be-folded is sitting undone for too long. But I have the privilege of delegating some of these responsibilities to my wife. haha Teamwork! So there you have it. A dirty word that many do not feel the need to talk about and address. It's weekend 🔥🔥 *Saturday Speed Clean* 1. Set a timer for 20 minutes. 2. Grab a laundry basket or a large container. 3. Quickly pick up clutter, toys, shoes, and any items that are out of place. 4. Put away items in their designated spaces. 5. Make your bed. 6. Wipe down the kitchen counters and sink. 7. Take out the trash and recycling. 8. Vacuum or sweep high-traffic areas. 9. Clean any mirrors and windows. 10. Take a deep breath and admire your tidy space!
