We helped a digital health company go from a $2M seed round to a $25M Series A. Check out what Rob, the VP of Marketing, had to say about working with us! "Her level of attention to detail and the ability to communicate many different types of complicated information in a straightforward manner is a real gift that she has. VivoSense is a small company, but it's very much as complicated. And to have somebody be able to pick that up quickly, understand it, and then be effective on the marketing and the sales side—that's pretty impressive." "She is pleasant, easy to work with and very understated. But also equally thoughtful and not afraid to stand up. You know, you don't want people who just do whatever you tell them to do. And she's been valuable to me as a sounding board saying, “You know, you might not want to do that that way. Let's think about this particular approach.” And she's usually right! So, you know, having both of those skills—being easy to work with, adaptable, but also being able to be additive and not afraid to stand up and say, “Let's try something different,”—that's a real skill." "I would recommend Ascend Business Growth highly to any company at our stage of development because they have a very strong full Suite of capabilities. She's done a good job with us, so yeah, she's very highly thought of by our entire organization, and me particularly." Why case studies are much more than just testimonials… Many people think of case studies as 'feel-good stories' about client success—like before-and-after photos or testimonials. Those are fantastic, but case studies are much more powerful. Here’s why: 1️⃣ They’re your most valuable marketing asset—long-lasting and always relevant. 2️⃣ They’re versatile—you can use them across multiple platforms and campaigns. 3️⃣ They turn your happy clients into your best advocates—sharing real results that build trust. 4️⃣ They’re proof that sells—because nothing speaks louder than success stories backed by data. 5️⃣ They’re like testimonials on steroids—offering deeper insights and more credibility. The difference? Case studies go beyond results. They show the journey—how you supported, listened to, and helped your clients achieve amazing outcomes. This level of detail creates a connection and trust that’s hard to match when you tell the story yourself. Social proof sells, and case studies are one of the most effective ways to show potential clients the value you bring. And remember, they're not only for Business-to-business marketing. Case studies can be incredibly valuable for you as a medical professional or health coach too for building trust and credibility. Want to learn more about how to leverage case studies in your marketing? Keep an eye out for this week’s newsletter—I’m diving deep into how to create, use, and repurpose them. Relying too heavily on one patient referral channel = all eggs in one basket. What happens if that channel dries up? Steve Donai, CEO of Growth Sherpa Consulting, suggests thinking about patient acquisition like a stock portfolio: diversified and resilient. 💡 Here’s the recommended mix: 40-50% from professional referrals: Build relationships with therapists, hospitals, and interventionists who trust your program. 20% from alumni referrals: Engage alumni networks and encourage word-of-mouth referrals from family and friends—not just readmissions. 30-40% from digital marketing: Use SEO, paid ads, and social media to connect directly with patients and families searching for care. By diversifying your acquisition strategy, you protect your pipeline from fluctuations and ensure long-term stability.
Where are your patients coming from?

When I started my mastermind, I hadn’t ever seen anything like this geared at small businesses. The point is to really focus on creating, marketing, and maintaining the brand and marketing side of your business. I know there’s value in brand. But would business owners be willing to invest in something that isn’t an *obvious*, traceable ROI? But I rolled the dice, and I launched sales a year ago for a January 2024 start date.🎲 Today I had a call to see if a potential SIXTH member was a fit. All 5 current member businesses are veterinary clinics or consultants, and so is this one. I had no issue telling her the current price - $25k - because now I’ve seen what the other members have gotten out of the last 8 months. I’ve got founders: 🍒 Going from wasting cash on generic posts to empowering enthusiastic team members to take on social media 🍒 Running generic Google ads that attracted anyone to figuring out targeted funnels to attract dream clients 🍒 Supporting each other as humans, like when one of our members welcomed a new baby I know the value is there, so now I don’t even feel like I’m “selling it.” If you wanna hear more about my mastermind or create one for yourself, I can help. To my Longevity and Anti Aging professionals out there; In the longevity and anti-aging sector, the power of positive client testimonials CANNOT be overstated. A five-star review doesn't just reflect a good experience; it's about the trust and efficacy your clinic provides in a highly competitive market. More reviews will lead to more customers/clients/patients, and I can PROMISE from my agency's data and others outstanding research on this topic that this is a fact. At Longevity Clinic Marketing, we've seen first-hand how a strong reputation leads to increased customer loyalty and, importantly, customer retention. Here’s the essence: maintaining stellar client reviews isn’t just about showcasing successes—it’s about building a sustainable trust pipeline that fuels growth and client confidence. I encourage you to visit our site to explore simple yet effective strategies to enhance your clinic's reputation: https://lnkd.in/gy-zs58Q - This is about creating a narrative that reinforces your excellence and competence. (which is my basic assumption of your longevity and healthspan business) Thanks to you all for being so committed to life extension and healthspan. Let’s continue to elevate the standards of what it means to offer truly transformative anti-aging solutions. Cheers from Austin!

I recently asked a successful clinic owner about their marketing strategy. Their answer was revealing: "Our best marketing happens in the community, not on social media." Five years ago, they were spending a shocking amount on ads, month over month. Today, they're growing faster than ever through referrals alone. This isn't just luck - it's a fundamental truth about healthcare that most clinics miss. We think about patient acquisition the way startups think about user acquisition: as a funnel to be optimized, a series of ads to be refined. But healthcare doesn't work like software. Trust isn't something you can A/B test. Think of your clinic like a garden, not a factory. You can't force trust to grow any more than you can force a seed to sprout faster. What you can do is create the right conditions: exceptional care, genuine relationships, and a network of professional connections that naturally lead to referrals. The most successful clinics I've studied share three traits: 1. They treat every patient interaction as their most powerful marketing channel 2. They build genuine relationships with other healthcare providers 3. They focus on creating experiences worth sharing, not ads worth clicking Here's the counterintuitive part: the less they focus directly on acquisition, the more referrals they tend to get. It's like trying to be cool - the harder you try, the less it works. The clinics that grow fastest aren't the ones with the biggest ad budgets. They're the ones that have built the strongest professional networks and the deepest patient trust. What's your experience? Have you found traditional advertising or relationship-building more effective for sustainable growth in healthcare? #HealthcareMarketing #PatientAcquisition #MedicalPractice #ProfessionalNetworks
