Public Clarification on Related Parties As per Article 34 of the Corporate Tax Law, transactions between related parties must meet the arm's length standard. As per Article 35 of the Corporate Tax Law, if two or more juridical persons have common ownership, whether direct or indirect, they are related parties. Summary: Two companies being owned or controlled by the federal government or local government doesn’t make them related parties. Detailed Analysis: Two companies having at least 50% ownership directly or indirectly by the same government means that they share common ownership or control, but this doesn’t automatically categorise them as related parties for corporate tax. To qualify as related parties, they must also meet the other conditions of Article 35. #UAECorporateTax #RelatedParties #Linkedin
