The Diversification method. You will meet many BDMs, AMs, Market analysts and FX gurus telling you that diversification is key in the long-term success. You need to open trades across many asset classes to hedge your risk and protect your portfolio in the long-term. And although for many it may work, I am sure for the majority it doesn't. Here is what they don't tell you about their hidden agenda: The more trades you open on different asset classes the more risk you take. Why? 1) It consumes more margin and especially if you are on low leverage you get closer to Stop Out = profit for the broker. If you don't know what that is go read T&Cs - Margin, Stop Out, Margin call. 2) If you believe perfect hedge exist, wait until market news or market close and see how swaps can eat your account before you even know it = it may take time but your account will be blown out. Always check swap levels - there are brokers with aggressive swaps not in your favour. 3) Different IBs and Affiliates will make you trade more convincing you in great time and new products come such as EA, Indicators they develop and giving you daily signals so you can use as many strategies to diversify. Why ? So they can get paid more commission, the more trades you open the better commissions it will generate for them. = FX Partners care about commissions because they live from it, not so much on what your FX story is. When you lose your account they won't save you they will just keep focusing on other clients. Instead of diversification, you should be spending the hours, days, weeks working out one single strategy on one single pair or asset class and strive for consistency over time - Months, Quarters even a year. Test on the Demo accounts and once you find consistency go on a Live account on conservative strategy risking no more than 1% without high leverage. Find an expert in the area and learn from him, Trading is a skill and you can depend on yourself if you put the time and effort. 99% want the short-cut and won't do it. Forcing trades when there are no setups because you want to make something happen will only hurt your performance. Odds are these trades will lose in the long run. Save your risk capital for when A+ setups inevitably show up and your performance will drastically improve. #trading

Everything scrunched so you can see the MNQ and ES trades. First day using the new system live, we took a small loss overall right at -0.51% with 3 trades; 2 losses and 1 win. One loss was a full loss and the other loss was a 2/3 loss since we grabbed a TP1 before hitting SL. The win was a full TP1, 2, 3. With how well this system has performed in backtesting in all markets, the losses are small and the wins are consistent - it makes almost as much profit overall in the same time span as the last system but it only has -2.1% max DD compared to the previous system’s -8.88%. This means plenty of room for scaling as the account grows and a MUCH smoother PnL curve. #tradeimage #futures
