A picture is worth a thousand words. Let's explore the journey of an email from Alice to Bob: 1. Alice composes an email in her Outlook client and hits "send". The email travels to the Outlook mail server using the SMTP protocol. 2. The Outlook server checks the DNS to locate Bob's SMTP server (not depicted), which happens to be Gmail's SMTP server. The email is then forwarded to Gmail's server via SMTP. 3. Gmail receives and stores the email, making it accessible to Bob. 4. When Bob logs into Gmail, his client fetches new emails from the Gmail server using IMAP/POP. This diagram simplifies the process, highlighting key steps. Stay tuned for deeper explanations of each component in future posts. If you have questions or feedback, feel free to comment below. Let's keep the conversation going! The command you should run is this: Set-RecipientFilterConfig -BlockedRecipients joe@bloggs.com,steve@techygeekshome.info,bob@mail.com You can keep adding email addresses to the list for what you require.
