Honours Criminology candidate / 🎓BA LAW Forensic Science and Technology (Criminology major)

Tonight I was just reflecting on my journey of employment and this is what I could dot down... As a legal admin and receptionist, I've had to juggle multiple responsibilities, from managing attorneys' schedules to handling client communications, and everything in between. It's not always easy, but it's taught me the importance of prioritization, time management, and adaptability. Limited resources Working in small to medium-sized law firms, I've often had to work with limited budgets and resources. This has forced me to be creative, find cost-effective solutions, and make the most of what we have. It's not always easy, but it's helped me develop a strong sense of resourcefulness and problem-solving. Balancing competing demands Between managing the front desk, supporting attorneys, and keeping the office running smoothly, there are always competing demands on my time and attention. It can be challenging to keep everyone happy, but I've learned to prioritize, delegate, and communicate effectively to manage expectations. Staying organized and efficient With so many tasks to complete and deadlines to meet, staying organized and efficient is crucial. I've developed systems, processes, and tools to help me stay on top of things, and I'm always looking for ways to improve my workflow. Maintaining confidentiality and discretion As a legal admin and receptionist, I've had access to sensitive and confidential information. It's essential to maintain discretion and confidentiality, even in challenging situations, and I take my responsibility to protect client and firm information very seriously. Managing stress and pressure The legal industry can be fast-paced and high-pressure, and as a legal admin and receptionist, I've had to deal with my fair share of stressful situations. I've learned to take care of myself, prioritize self-care, and develop healthy coping mechanisms to manage stress and pressure.
